Itinerary
- Day 1
Goa to Belgaum
You'll start with a transfer from your Goa hotel or airport heading to Belgaum. Once there, check out Belgaum Fort, which dates back to 1204 AD and shows off some really nice Chalukyan and Indo-Saracenic style architecture. After that, head to Kapileshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, where you'll find yourself surrounded by ancient Banyan, Peepal, and Ficus trees that have been there for centuries.

- Day 2
Belgaum to Bijapur
After breakfast you'll drive toward Bijapur, and the route takes you through scenic Gokak Falls on the Ghataprabha River where a 171 foot waterfall drops between sandstone cliffs. There's an ancient Lord Mahalingeshwara temple near the falls that you'll visit before continuing on to Bijapur for check-in and the rest of the day to settle in and relax.

Bijapur
This day focuses on Bijapur's architecture. You'll see Bijapur Fort with monuments from the Adil Shahi dynasty, then walk through the Asar Mahal which served as a Hall of Justice, and check out Bara Kaman, an unfinished mausoleum. The highlight is Gol Gumbaz, known for having the world's second-largest dome. You'll also fit in visits to the Jama Masjid, Malik-e-Maidan, and Ibrahim's Rouza before heading back to your hotel.

Badami
Start with the rock-cut architecture at Badami Caves and Badami Fort, which show both Chalukyan and Pallava heritage. From there, spend time at the Open Air Museum, then head to the UNESCO World Heritage Pattadakal Temple Complex featuring Hindu and Jain temples. Later, explore the ancient temples scattered around Aihole including Durga Temple, Huchamalli Temple, Meguti Jain Temple, and Ravanapadhi Cave temple, each with its own historical significance.

You'll depart Badami and head back toward the beaches of Goa. This concludes your extension tour with a drop-off at your hotel or Goa airport, ending your journey through this historically rich region of Karnataka.
