After stopping for coffee, you'll head onto a flowing hilly track that gets progressively rougher and more challenging as it climbs toward a steep, rocky mountain pass. There's a picnic lunch set up on the trail, and then you'll work through canyon-like terrain before dropping down into the Draa Valley with a dramatic descent. The final stretch takes you through ancient mud-walled villages or you can follow the support vehicle on road to reach your hotel in Zagora.

    Chegaga Dunes to Foum Zguid

This is a long, tiring day starting early heading south on old Rally tracks where you'll practice high-speed bike control. You'll stop briefly to refuel before heading west on fast, flowing tracks toward the sand dunes of Chegaga. Lunch happens at the dunes, then you'll continue west on initially rocky terrain that becomes smoother as you cross the dry lake bed of Lac Iriki. From there, you'll pick up an old Dakar Rally piste leading into Foum Zguid town where you'll spend the night at a hotel set in a palmery with good food.

You'll cross the Anti-Atlas mountains using a short tarmac liaison to reach an incredible gorge where local Berber villagers grow dates. The route passes through a final village offering shade before you climb dramatic tracks that cling to the mountainside. After a short descent and quick ride across agricultural plains, you'll arrive at Tazenakht for lunch. There's an optional stop at a Berber carpet cooperative to watch women making colorful textiles. You'll then continue to Kasbah Ait-Ben-Haddou near Ouarzazate, the famous fortified clay city used in Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Prince of Persia. We had a great trip with our guide Hassan and his well-maintained 4x4 Defender. Although some areas of our tour were not accessible because of heavy rain the weeks before, Hassan spontaneously changed the route and hotels. He was very flexible, well organised and punctual. Hotels and food were very nice. Our kids (10 and 13) also enjoyed the adventure-like holiday. Thanks to the many languages Hassan speaks, conversation was no problem for them. It was definitely not our last trip to Morocco and not our last with Hassan. I can recommend the tour, Hassan and his company Explore Morocco Travel.

My wife and I had the pleasure of a 4 day tour, driven and escorted by IBrhaim. We were fortunate in that we ended up the only passengers for our trip, so it made it easier for him and us. His English was good and driving was excellent, which was important seeing we drove a long distance. Everything from the accommodation to food supplied surpassed our expectations. We recommend this Company
