I was travelling solo, and all I experienced was daily tours with different people each time. The guides were wonderful and took us to the best of Sao Miguel, but I stayed at the hotel by myself and that was disappointing and somewhat lonely. This is a semi private tour, meaning the day tours are with a group and accommodations, meals and transfers are private. The accommodations are 4* hotels, centrally located like Vila Gale Collection São Miguel or Hotel Marina Atlantico. There's no problem in stayin in separate rooms, you can book the tour for 4 people and automatically we book 2 rooms.
