Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Cat Ba Island
Your hotel pickup happens at 08:00 from Hanoi Old Quarter, then it's about an hour drive to Dinh Vu Port. From there you'll take a 45-minute speedboat to Cat Ba Island. After grabbing lunch in Cat Ba town, you'll trek through Cat Ba National Park heading toward Viet Hai village. The trail passes by Frog Lake and goes through thick forest where you might see langurs, deer, or butterflies if you're lucky. By evening you'll have dinner and settle into a wooden house in the fishing village for the night.

- Day 2
Viet Hai Village to Lan Ha Bay
Start with breakfast at 07:30, then head up Marine Hill to catch views of both Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay from the summit. Back in Viet Hai you can try a fish massage or just rest before cycling to the port. A boat takes you out to Lan Ha Bay with lunch served on board, and after eating you'll kayak around Hang Luon cave. Depending on how the weather looks, there's time to check out some pristine beaches before stopping at Ben Beo floating fishing village where hundreds of families live on the water. Dinner and overnight are at a seashore hotel.

Cat Ba Island Motorbike Tour to Hanoi
Breakfast at your hotel kicks off the day, then you'll explore Cat Ba Island by motorbike which tends to be a favorite for people wanting some adventure. The route includes the cannon fortress and a military hospital cave, with some challenging mountain pass roads in between before you loop back. After a simple lunch, it's the drive back to Hanoi by car, which wraps up your Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island tour.
