Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuban International Airport where someone from Himalayan Planet will be waiting for you. A private car takes you to your hotel so you can settle in and shake off the travel fatigue. Later in the evening, you'll get a full briefing about how the tour is organized and what to expect over the next few days.

- Day 2
Kathmandu Valley UNESCO Heritage Sites
This morning starts by checking out Kathmandu Valley's four UNESCO sites. First stop is Swayambhunath Stupa, a Buddhist shrine over 2000 years old with its distinctive dome and painted Buddha eyes. After that, you'll head to Kathmandu Durbar Square where roughly 60 temples and the old royal palace sit close together. From there, it's on to Boudhanath, Asia's largest stupa, and then Pashupatinath temple sits along the sacred Bagmati River, one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage spots in Asia.

- Day 3
Kathmandu Valley Rim
You'll spend the day cycling through the northern Kathmandu Valley near Shivapuri National Park on mountain roads heading toward Mudhku Bhanjyang at about 1530 meters elevation. The views take in the Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. Later you'll cycle east through Tokha village, passing through hidden valleys, waterfalls, and areas with wildlife. The ride lasts roughly six hours total before heading back to Kathmandu in the evening.

- Day 4
Trisuli River Rafting
Today you'll travel from Kathmandu Valley to the Trisuli River for white water rafting. A tourist bus takes you to the launch site and includes a box lunch along the way. You'll spend three hours on the river navigating the turbulent water, then take a local bus back to Kathmandu by evening.

Nagarkot Sunrise and Trek to Changu-Narayan
This morning starts before sunrise when you drive to Nagarkot village at 2,175 meters elevation to watch the sun come up over the Himalayan peaks. You might see Mount Everest and the snow-capped mountains if the weather cooperates. After sunrise, you'll trek for about 4 to 5 hours through the mountains toward Changu-Narayan, Nepal's oldest temple from the 4th century and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with detailed stone work and carvings that matter a lot to Kathmandu's history, religion, and culture.

Departure from Kathmandu
It's your last day in Nepal. Himalayan Planet will handle your departure and transfer you from the hotel to Tribhuban International Airport for your flight home. They mention that if you want to stay longer and see more of Nepal, they can set up extensions for you.
