Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu

    You'll be picked up at Kathmandu International Airport and driven to your hotel. This is your chance to rest after traveling and get settled in for the night.

  2. Day 2

    Kathmandu

    In the morning, take a half-day guided tour through Kathmandu's historical and spiritual World Heritage Sites. Your trek leader will meet the group later, go over all the details about the trek ahead, and answer any questions you have.

  3. Day 3

    Kathmandu to Barpak

    After breakfast, you'll drive through rural areas along the Prithvi highway toward Gorkha district. The route takes you across the Marsyangdi river to Barpak village, the largest Gurung settlement in the region. The 2015 earthquake left its mark here, but the village has recovered. You'll stay at a local tea house or lodge, which helps support the community.

  4. Day 4

    Barpak to Laprak

    Starting after breakfast, trek moderately uphill through forest to reach Bhosu Kang Hill at 2,800 meters/9,186 feet. From there you'll see Ganesh Himal and Boudha Himal. The walk then heads downhill through Gupsi Danda to Laprak village where you'll spend the night at a newly built local house or homestay.

  5. Day 5

    Laprak to Khorla Besi

    Head downhill to Singla village, then the path climbs toward Khorla village where the Budhi Gandaki Valley begins. This valley becomes your route for the next two weeks all the way to Larkya La Pass. By evening you'll reach Khorla Besi and stay at a tea house.

  6. Day 6

    Khorla Besi to Jagat

    Trek along the Budhi Gandaki valley toward Tatopani to check out the hot spring. From there climb steeply through Dobhan, then descend to the Yaru Khola at Yaru Beshi. Continue walking to Jagat, a small village along the Budhi Gandaki River, for your overnight stay.

  7. Day 7

    Jagat to Deng

    Walk along sandy banks that get steeper near Sirdibas. You'll cross a dramatic suspension bridge and climb to Phillim, which is the largest village on this route until the pass. The trail continues through Pewa to Deng with changing terrain. From here on you'll start seeing Tibetan cultural influences in the villages, architecture, and local customs.

  8. Day 8

    Deng to Namrung

    Trek with a quick descent to the river followed by steep climbing to Rana village. Then comes more ups and downs through Bihi Phedi into the valley toward Ghap. Following the smaller Budhi Gandaki River through forest, you'll steadily climb and then steeply ascend to Namrung village for the night.

  9. Day 9

    Namrung to Lho

    From Namrung, enter higher altitude terrain that starts easy but becomes uphill toward Shyo village. You'll spot Manaslu at 8,163 meters to the west. After descending into a river valley, climb up to Lho village where you'll stay overnight.

  10. Day 10

    Lho to Shyala

    Descend into a river valley and then climb, ending the day at Shyala. The valley opens up here and the trail becomes more straightforward walking through pasturelands.

  11. Day 11

    Shyala to Sama Gaon

    Reach Sama Gaon with options for what to do. You can take a short hike to the beautiful Birendra Taal lake nearby, or spend a full day (about 6 hours) hiking to Pungyen Gomba, Pungyen Glacier, or Mount Manaslu Base Camp depending on your energy and interests.

    Sama Gaon to Samdu

    Trek gradually uphill through the valley following the river. The path gets steeper as the day goes on and you reach Samdu village. Samdu Ri at 6,335 meters rises dramatically to the east.

    Samdu

    This is a rest day. Take a hike toward the valley northeast of Samdu with views of Samdu Ri towering at 6,335 meters above. You have time to explore the surrounding area and recover from the trek so far.

  14. Day 14

    Samdu to Dharmasala

    Trek with a brief downhill section followed by climbing toward Larke Glacier. The trail becomes easier as you approach Dharmasala, positioned right at the start of tomorrow's main climb to the pass.

  15. Day 15

    Dharmasala to Larkya La Pass

    Start early and gradually ascend through Larke Glacier to reach the top of Larkya La Pass. At the summit you'll see Himlung, Annapurna II, Kangguru, and several other peaks over 6,000 meters. The descent is steep on snow followed by glacial terrain, ending at Bhimthang on flat ground.

    Bhimthang to Dharapani

    Move quickly through the glacier area then descend through forest toward lower valleys. Follow river banks past Surki Khola and Goa while losing altitude. Continue downhill to Tilche, then climb a short hill to Dharapani where you join the Annapurna Circuit trail for the night.

    Dharapani to Kathmandu

    After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu in a private jeep via Besisahar along the Marshyangdi river valley. The route follows the Prithvi highway through scenic river areas. You'll stay overnight in Kathmandu.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
