Trip date: May 2023 - Jjuliacross· September 25th, 2019The itinerary was superb, taking in Puglia, Amalfi Coast and Rome with the right amount of time in each and a good balance of free time and excursions. The view from the coach was fabulous due to the high windows and elevated seating position. The extra leg room was appreciated. The Travel Director was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Centrally located, walking distance to everything, comfortable enough to get lost and find our way back. I found a new love, Primitivo wine from the Puglia region of Italy. Simply devine! I also cannot find the same green olives we devoured while lunching out in one of the lemon groves. The differences in each area of the country are amazing like seeing the culture of Rome, the Trulli of Alberobello, we even stopped in Matera to see the "Sassi" of cave dwellings then visited the breathtaking Amalfi coast. Country Roads of Southern Italy trip is available in July and September only for classic groups, while for small groups, June and August have the only departure dates available. Some departure dates and months are already sold out.

There is free time while on the tour, the travel director will discuss the day-by-day schedule on the first day of the trip. One example is to Visit Polignano a Mare - in the afternoon you'll visit the picture-perfect 'Pearl of the Adriatic' Polignano a Mare with our Local Expert. We have a single room and twin-share accommodations available. A single room costs $3,615 per person while a twin-share costs $3,225 per person. Please note that you have to share the room with a stranger of the same gender in a twin share. Please be advised that the tour schedule is fixed and cannot be amended to add extensions.

I'm coordinating other tours so I have no room for negotiating dates - I would only book a particular tour if is a designated definite departure

The only available departure for this tour is on the 7th October 2023 departure. We don't have an update if this tour will still be offered next year. You may check with us again by September as it is usually the time of our brochure launch and we might have an update by that time.

Asked on March 6th, 2023I am trying to plan a tour to southern Italy with some friends. I know that there are at least 6 going and possibly 2 more couples if the price is right. We were hoping to go March 31 or April 1 in 204 and stay for 8 days. Are these dates flexible?

Unfortunately, these dates are not flexible, and there is only one departure date (April 6th, 2024) that is near when you would like to travel. If you are okay with travelling a little later than planned, I recommend booking soon as there are not very many tour dates available for this tour.
