Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
You'll get picked up from your hotel early and head to the airport for a mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight itself gives you views of the Himalayan range including Mt. Everest as you approach. Once you land, you'll meet your local Sherpa guides and start walking toward Phakding. This first trek takes about 4 hours through pine and cedar forests, following the Dudh Kosi River the whole way. You'll stay overnight in a mountain tea house with dinner provided.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, you'll trek for 5 to 6 hours heading to Namche Bazaar. The path follows the Dudh Kosi River and climbs through the Khumbu valley, passing rhododendron forests that are particularly vibrant if you're traveling in spring. Once you cross the Hillary Bridge, the trail gets steeper, but this effort pays off with your first direct view of Mt. Everest in the distance. Namche Bazaar itself is a busy mountain trading hub where you can walk through shops, grab meals, and sort out any final gear you need.

- Day 3
Namche Bazaar (Acclimatization Day)
This is your acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, but you're staying active rather than just resting. You can take a short hike to Everest View Resort, walk to nearby villages like Thame or Khunde, or wander through the market and local shops. Your guide will take you to the Tourist Visitor Center near Sagarmatha National Park headquarters where they'll show you exhibits about early Everest climbers, Sherpa culture, and the plants and animals found in the region.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
From Namche, you'll trek 4 to 5 hours to reach Tengboche. The route goes through rhododendron forests with mani walls and stupas along the way. You'll stop at Phunge Thanka for lunch, then cross a suspension bridge before climbing steeply for about an hour and a half. When you reach Tengboche, you get views of the surrounding mountains and reach the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. In the evening, there's a monastery prayer ceremony you can attend, and you'll sleep there with meals included.

Tengboche to Dingboche
Start your day with a monastery prayer ceremony if you didn't catch it last night, then have breakfast while looking out at the mountains. After packing up, you'll trek down through rhododendron forest to Deboche, cross an exciting suspension bridge over the Imja Khola river, then climb toward Pangboche and Somare where you'll grab lunch. The afternoon takes you on a slower, flatter section along the valley wall before crossing open plains to reach Dingboche.

Dingboche to Labuche
After breakfast at Dingboche, you'll start a significant climb toward Pheritse village. The trail gradually goes up through an alpine valley with views of several peaks including Ama-Dablam, Lhotse, Phortse Peak, and Cholatse. You can rest or have lunch at Dughla, then tackle the tougher climb toward Labuche and the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, which takes about an hour. At the top, you'll see stone monuments for climbers lost on expeditions, and the views open up to show Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Labuche Peak.

- Day 7
Labuche to Mt. Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep
You'll trek through Gorak Shep toward Mt. Everest Base Camp, and the paths can get confusing around the Indian Army mountaineers' memorials, so staying with your guide is important. At this altitude, the thin air makes the trek exhausting as you walk across rocky dunes, moraine, and streams. Once at Base Camp, you see some of the world's highest peaks against the gray, rocky landscape including Khumbuste, Nuptse, and Pumori. After reaching the camp, you head back down to Gorak Shep for the evening with all meals included.

- Day 8
Gorak Shep to Kala Pathar to Lukla
You'll start very early to reach Kala Pathar for sunrise, which gives you 360-degree views of the peaks with Mt. Everest directly in front of you, ideal for photography. After capturing the sunrise views, you'll head back down to Gorakshep for breakfast. Then you'll get ready for a scenic helicopter flight back to Lukla, watching the Himalayan mountains from above the whole way. In Lukla, you'll enjoy good food and comfortable lodging. Your last day includes visiting local spots, trying local foods, and celebrating your trek with the team. A farewell dinner and gathering happen later in the evening.

Lukla to Kathmandu
You'll catch an early morning flight from Lukla heading back to Kathmandu. Once you arrive, you can rest at your hotel, do some shopping, or check out any sights you missed on the way in. Your guides will stay with you if you want help buying souvenirs or visiting additional places before your departure.
