Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Your adventure starts with an early pickup from your hotel for the mountain flight to Lukla. The flight itself is the highlight here, with views of the Himalayan range spreading out below you, including glimpses of Mt. Everest if visibility cooperates. Once you land, you'll meet your local Sherpas who'll be with you for the trek. From there, you head out on foot toward Phakding, which takes about four hours. The path winds through pine and cedar forests and runs alongside the Dudh Kosi River, so the scenery keeps changing as you walk. You'll spend your first night at a tea house in Phakding, getting settled and adjusting to the altitude.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, you'll trek for 5 to 6 hours toward Namche Bazaar. This stretch crosses the Dudh Kosi River and moves through the Khumbu Valley, passing through Monjo and Jorsalle along the way. The trail gets noticeably steeper as you approach Namche, climbing through blue pine forest. If you're trekking in spring, you might see rhododendron flowers blooming along the path. Namche Bazaar itself is busy and lively, serving as a trading hub where you can check your gear, pick up anything else you need for higher altitudes, and get your bearings before heading further up the mountain.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
The trek from Namche to Tengboche spans 4 to 5 hours and brings you closer views of several peaks like Thamserku, Kantega, and Ama-Dablam, with Everest and Lhotse visible in the distance. You'll walk through rhododendron forests, past mani walls and stupas (also called Chortens), heading toward Phunge Thanka where lunch happens. After eating, the trail crosses a suspension bridge before tackling a steep 1.5-hour climb to reach Tengboche. Once there, you'll visit the region's largest monastery and catch the evening prayer ceremony if timing works out. The lodge provides meals included with your overnight stay.

Tengboche to Dingboche
This day kicks off early with an optional trip to the monastery prayer ceremony if you want to go. Breakfast comes with mountain views, and then you'll spend some time preparing and stretching before heading out. The trek moves through rhododendron forest toward Deboche, crossing a dramatic bridge over the rushing Imja Khola river. From there, the trail ascends gradually, passing through Pangboche and Somare villages where you'll have lunch. The afternoon involves a slower, flatter walk through the valley leading to Dingboche, giving your body time to adjust.

Dingboche to Labuche
Starting after breakfast, you'll face your first major climb heading toward Pheritse through an extensive alpine valley. You can see Ama-Dablam, Lhotse, Phortse Peak, and Cholatse from here. Dughla gives you a chance to rest or grab lunch before things get harder. From that point, the trek becomes more demanding as you climb toward Labuche, ascending the terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. That final push to the top takes roughly an hour and ends at stone monuments built to honor climbers who've come through. From the summit, you'll see Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Labuche Peak before continuing on.

Labuche to Mount Everest Base Camp and Gorakshep
The trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp goes through Gorak-Shep, and you'll notice memorials honoring Indian Army mountaineers scattered along the route. High altitude can make the path confusing with thin air making everything feel exhausting, so staying close to your guide really matters. You'll cross rocky terrain, moraine fields, and streams before finally reaching Base Camp. Once there, you can see some of the world's highest peaks standing out, including Khumbuste, Nuptse, and Pumori against the gray landscape. Meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included.

- Day 7
Gorakshep to Kala Pathar and return to Lukla
Rise early to catch the sunrise from Kala Pathar, which photographers consider one of the best spots around for a full 360-degree view of the peaks with Mt. Everest right in front of you. After capturing your photos, you'll head back down to Gorakshep for breakfast. Next comes a scenic helicopter flight back to Lukla, giving you another chance to see the Himalayan range from above. In Lukla, there's time to eat well and rest, plus you can check out local spots and celebrate the trek with your team. The day finishes with a farewell dinner and gathering.

Lukla to Kathmandu
An early morning flight takes you from Lukla back to Kathmandu. Once you arrive, you can rest up or do some shopping, and your guides will help if there are places you want to visit or souvenirs you're looking for. This gives you a chance to unwind after the trek and pick up anything you might want to take home.
