Itinerary

Luanda to Namibe
You'll arrive at Luanda's domestic terminal and check in for your TAAG flight heading to Namibe. Once you land and complete the arrival formalities, an airport transfer takes you to your hotel. Settle in for dinner and your first night.

Tombwa - Cunene River Mouth
After breakfast at the hotel, you head out to explore Tombwa municipality, a coastal town where the Namib desert covers much of the landscape. You'll visit Tigers Bay, an ancient settlement with a lot of history behind it, then continue to the Cunene River Mouth where the river meets the desert and sea. This area is home to ducks, flamingos, turtles, seals, whales, and dolphins if you're lucky. By evening, you'll camp in the gorge, have dinner around a campfire, and sleep in tents.

Espinheira - Pediva - Salonjamba
After breakfast at the canyon camp, you visit the Himba Tribe, a semi-nomadic group known for their distinctive reddish skin and hair. You'll have lunch during the drive, then spend time exploring Espinheira and Pediva to see the region's diverse wildlife and plants. The Welwitschia Mirabilis plant grows here, and you might spot desert gazelles, ostriches, jackals, hyenas, and zebras. Later you'll camp in Salonjamba with dinner by the fire and tent sleeping.

Red Canyon - Arco - Return to Luanda
Starting with breakfast in Salonjamba, you visit the Mucubal Tribe in the Namib Desert, known for their minimal clothing and use of machetes or spears. On your return to Namibe, you'll pass through the Red Canyon and Arco with their distinctive rock formations and unusual landscapes. You'll grab lunch along the way before heading to the airport for your return flight to Luanda.
