Itinerary
- Day 1
Luang Prabang
You'll get picked up at your guesthouse and meet your motorbike for the first time. From there, you head to Vat Phra Phon Pao, a hilltop temple that gives you great views across Luang Prabang. After checking that out, it's on to Elephant-XL camp where you can see Asian elephants in their natural setting. Then you'll stop at Tad Katscham waterfall for a swim to cool off. The whole ride covers about 40 km of scenic terrain before heading back to town.

- Day 2
Luang Prabang to Vieng Thong
Starting at 8 A.M., you ride to Tham Thing and Tham Phoum caves, which have around 1000 Buddha images inside. You'll travel through mountain scenery and villages on dirt roads heading east. There's a lunch break in a small village partway through. After that, you continue for another 60 km to reach Vieng Thong, a quiet remote town. By evening, you can soak in the hot springs to relax your muscles after all that riding.

- Day 3
Vieng Thong to Vieng Xay
You'll leave early and ride through pristine forest on roads that don't see many tourists. A stop in Phoulao lets you see ancient menhirs and a stone garden. Later you reach Sam Nuea for lunch and time to walk around the town. Then it's on to Vieng Xay, where the Laotian republic was born and where the Pathet Lao had their headquarters. The area has hundreds of caves scattered around, and you'll explore some of these historical sites.

Vieng Xay to Phonsavanh
This morning starts with a short motorbike tour visiting caves near Vieng Xay while learning about Laos' wartime history. You'll stop in villages along the way to get a feel for local culture and how people live on the land. Later you head to Tham Piew cave, an important historical location where over 400 people died during an American bombing attack. By evening you roll into Phonsavanh, a small market town where you'll spend the night.

- Day 5
Phonsavanh
Today centers on exploring the Plain of Jars, a highland landscape filled with massive ancient stone jars whose origin and purpose remain unknown. You'll ride through fields covered with these enormous stone vessels, some bigger than modern factory containers. In the afternoon, you visit the old provincial capital, which was destroyed during bombing in the early 1970s. Important note: unexploded ordnance still exists in the area, so you stay on marked tracks. The evening is free for you to spend time in Phonsavanh town.

Phonsavanh to Vang Vieng
You ride westward through forest and lush green landscape toward Vang Vieng, which is known as Laos' main tourist party spot. After lunch, you get to try the legendary tubing adventure down the Nam Xong River, something most visitors do while they're here. It's a full day mixing nature, Lao scenery, and outdoor fun activities.

- Day 7
Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
The morning is relaxed with a short ride around the landscape near your hotel and then a walk to take in the area. You ride your motorbike back through mountain roads for your final adventure, with a 5 to 6 hour journey to get back to Luang Prabang. When you arrive, you'll clean the motorbikes together, then walk up to Vat Phou Si, the main temple in town. Later you have your last evening on the Minsk motorcycle tour, reflecting on the whole journey through Laos.
