Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Siem Reap
You'll clear customs and meet your guide in the arrival hall, then head to your hotel by private air-conditioned car. The drive from the airport east of Siem Reap takes about an hour to reach downtown. After checking in, you'll have time to rest and get ready for tomorrow.

- Day 2
Angkor Wat Sunrise & Angkor Complex
Wake early to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat, the best-preserved temple complex in the region. From there you'll move through Bayon Temple to see the famous 'Khmer Smile' Buddha statues, then walk through Baphuon Temple with its intricate design and visit the Terrace of the Elephants to see the carved stone elephants. Later head to Bakheng Temple on Bakheng Mountain for sunset views. Evening includes a Khmer buffet dinner followed by an Apsara Show performance.

- Day 3
Angkor Grand & Outer Circuits, Tonle Sap Lake
You'll explore temples on Angkor's grand and outer circuits starting with Preah Kahn. After a 40-minute drive, you'll reach Banteay Srei, known as the 'Diamond of Angkor'. Following lunch, check out Ta Prohm where a famous silk-cotton tree wraps around the pagoda and earned the nickname 'Tomb Raider Tree'. By late afternoon take a boat ride around a floating village on Tonle Sap Lake.

- Day 4
Battambang
Travel to Battambang and take a walking tour to see the governor's residence and other colonial-era buildings now operating as shops and galleries. You'll also ride the bamboo train, an exciting local experience. Then climb 700-plus stairs up Phnom Sampeau to visit Wat Phnom Sampeau and see its unique Khmer roof and detailed murals. Stay through sunset to watch millions of bats emerge from caves, a display that lasts over 30 minutes.

- Day 5
Battambang to Phnom Penh
Head toward Phnom Penh for a 5-hour journey with scenic breaks along the way. Stop in Kampong Chhnang, called the 'Port of Pottery', to watch traditional pottery-making and rice wine-making. Later visit Oudong Mountain where a village fair at the base sells local goods, then climb to the stupa (barefoot required) for views of the area. Continue on to your hotel in Phnom Penh.

- Day 6
Phnom Penh Full Day Tour
Spend the day exploring Phnom Penh to see both Cambodia's history and its difficult past. Start at the Royal Palace, with buildings dating back to the 19th century. Next visit the National Museum of Cambodia located just north of the palace. Then move to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeung Ek Genocidal Center to learn about the Khmer Rouge period from 1975 to 1979.

Your driver and guide will pick you up from the hotel for the 30 to 40 minute transfer to Phnom Penh International Airport. The airport is relatively small so getting through should be straightforward. Have a good journey home.
