Itinerary
- Day 1
Palermo
You'll land in Palermo and get transferred to your hotel to settle in. Later in the afternoon, you'll meet your guide and the other travelers at a meet and greet. After that, there's a short walk through the city before you head back to rest for the night.
- Day 2
Monreale
This morning starts with a guided tour of Palermo's old center, where you'll see the Palatine Chapel, the Cathedral, and then walk through the busy Ballarò Market with its food stalls and local vendors. From there, you'll head to Monreale to check out the Norman-Byzantine mosaics, which are really the highlight of the town.

Cefalù
You'll drive at an easy pace to Cefalu, a coastal town on the northern shore with an Arab-Norman cathedral and narrow winding streets to walk through. Later in the afternoon you'll head back to Palermo where the rest of the day is free. If you feel like it, there's an optional aperitivo with other travelers in town.

Piazza Armerina
Leaving Palermo, you'll travel inland through the interior of Sicily. You'll stop at the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, an important archaeological site with Greek ruins and temples. After lunch, you'll continue to the Villa Romana del Casale near Piazza Armerina to see the famous Roman floor mosaics that are preserved there.

Syracuse
Today you're heading to Syracuse, which was once a major power in the Mediterranean. You'll walk through the Neapolis Archaeological Park with its Greek theatre and other ancient structures. Then you'll spend time in Ortigia, the old town section, where there are baroque buildings, piazzas, and views out to the sea.

Marzamemi
You'll see Noto with its honey-colored baroque buildings and architecture that makes it special in Sicily. After walking around there, you'll go to Marzamemi, a small fishing village where you can grab lunch, relax, or swim in the water if you want to cool off.

Mount Etna - Taormina
Starting toward Taormina, you'll stop in Catania first to check out its fish market where vendors sell the day's catch. Then you'll head up to Mount Etna's slopes for a wine tasting at a local vineyard, and you'll arrive in Taormina by evening once everything's done.

Your last day in Taormina is yours to spend however you'd like. You can relax and take in the sea views, wander around the ancient theatre, or join an optional Godfather-themed tour to the hill towns of Savoca and Forza d'Agro if that interests you.
