- RBRia· November 22nd, 2023Good things: Chety our lead tour guide was good, as well as the local guides in Palermo and Agrigento. The coach was comfortable and the drives were not that long, maybe max 2 hours. The lunch at the local restaurant with Sicilian food was great. Not so good: The dinners at the hotels were bad, aside from the one at Pogio Sole which was good. We can do away with the Lake Salts part, or maybe just do a drive by, since that day was already jampacked, with Erice, wine tasting and Valley of the Temples. The hotel in Agrigento was pretty old. Bad: The hotel at Taormina was changed from Splendid to Antares. I know there's a disclaimer in the website that the hotels can be changed to similar hotels but this two ones are not similar at all. Antares hotel was way outside of Taormina, and it did not even have a shuttle to town. We had to get a taxi which cost us twenty five euros for a 10 minute ride. It would have been helpful if our tour guide let us know how to get the bus to town, since the hotel staff was not helpful at all.Show more
