Itinerary

Day 1
Kilimanjaro Airport to Karatu
A driver picks you up at Kilimanjaro airport and takes you by 4x4 jeep toward Karatu village, which takes about 3 to 4 hours. If there's time, you might stop at some local markets to look around, otherwise you'll head straight to settle in at your lodge.

Day 2
Karatu to Serengeti
After breakfast, it's about a 30 minute drive to Ngorongoro gate before heading into Serengeti National Park. You'll spend the day watching for wildlife like leopards, lions, zebras, wildebeest, and elephants across the 6,000 plus square mile landscape. A packed lunch comes during the game drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 3
Serengeti
You'll head out early this morning for a game drive through Serengeti National Park and spend the whole day looking for wildlife. Lunch either comes hot or as a picnic while you're exploring the park and all the animals there.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you'll take one more game drive as you leave Serengeti, then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and head down into the crater for more game viewing. You'll see herds of zebras and wildebeest, lions roaming around, and if you're lucky, an endangered black rhino. A packed lunch is provided during the day.

Following breakfast in Karatu, you'll drive toward Arusha or Kilimanjaro airport. There's time for a shopping stop if the schedule allows before you get dropped at the airport to wrap up your tour.

This was a fabulous safari - we could not have asked for better planning, lodging, game drives and guides. It was miles more than we expected and was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you so much to Irene and to guide Joseph for an incredible 10 days. You both are the BEST! We saw so much and none of it would have happened without Muraa. They are fantastic!

Muraa was fantastic! Our guides, Joseph Mushi and owner Irene Adiel could not have been more wonderful. Very extensive game drives, amazing guidance on all aspects of the parks and the wildebeest migration, comfortable lodgings and really fun company. I cannot praise them highly enough. A once in a lifetime adventure — SO worth it!!!

Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 20th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of 25% is required to confirm your booking with Muraa African Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Muraa African Safaris will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
