Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
You'll arrive in Marrakech and head to your traditional riad to settle in. From there, a guided tour takes you through the Medina's winding streets, where you'll get a real sense of the city's rhythm. Jemaa el-Fnaa square is where things get lively, filled with performers and food stalls. The Koutoubia Mosque gives you a feel for the city's religious heart, and Majorelle Garden offers a quieter contrast with its blue buildings and botanical collections. Later in the evening, you can arrange a hammam and spa treatment if you want to relax after the day's walking.

Ait Benhaddou - Dades Valley
This morning involves a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, with the drive crossing Tizi n'Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. You'll then reach Ait Benhaddou, an ancient earthen kasbah and UNESCO World Heritage Site that's incredibly photogenic from multiple angles. After exploring there, you continue to Ouarzazate and can check out Atlas Studios and Kasbah Taourirt if time allows. The afternoon takes you through Dades Gorge, where the landscape really shifts dramatically, and by evening you'll be settled at a local kasbah or guesthouse for the night.

Todra Gorge - Merzouga
Start early with a walk through Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs create a dramatic setting. From there, you'll drive toward Merzouga, which sits at the edge of the Sahara. Once you arrive, a camel trek across Erg Chebbi's dunes kicks off in the late afternoon, timing it so you're out there for the sunset. That evening, you'll have a Berber dinner with traditional music back at the luxury desert camp, then spend the night under the stars.

Ziz Valley - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes
You'll wake before dawn to catch the sunrise across the desert from your camp. After that, you head back by camel or a 4x4 depending on preference. The drive takes you through the Ziz Valley and into the Middle Atlas Mountains, with a stop in Ifrane (often called the 'Switzerland of Morocco' because of its chalet-style buildings). By evening, you'll roll into Fes and get settled in your traditional riad.

Fes

The tanneries are aromatic and memorable, and wandering through artisan quarters shows you traditional crafts. Later, you'll head to Fes el-Jdid to view the Royal Palace gates and visit pottery cooperatives, wrapping up with views from around the city.

If you're up for a hike, the Spanish Mosque sits on higher ground and offers a nice sunset view looking back over the city and surrounding landscape.

Casablanca - Rabat
You'll drive to Casablanca and visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest on the continent, with its striking oceanside location. After that, the Corniche waterfront is worth a walk for the sea air and city views. Then it's on to Rabat, Morocco's capital, where you'll explore the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and pass by the gates of the Royal Palace. You'll settle in for the night once you arrive.

Marrakech
The morning drive back to Marrakech takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic and stops. Once you arrive, you'll have some free time to do as you like, whether that's shopping in the souks, grabbing lunch at a café, or just resting at your hotel. Later, you'll head to the airport or your accommodation depending on your departure plans.
