- Day 1
Arrival in Colombo
Land at Bandaranaike International Airport and your representative will meet you for the transfer into Colombo. Once you check into your hotel, the afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. You might wander through the historic Pettah District with its narrow streets and old shops, check out the more modern side of the city, or head down to the seafront to get a feel for the coastal area.

- Day 2
Sigiriya Rock Fortress
After breakfast, you'll head to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO site and ancient citadel built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century. The climb up the near-vertical walls takes you to a flat-topped summit where you can explore palace ruins, fortifications, gardens, and ponds. Inside are cave shrines, and you'll walk along the polished Mirror Wall before visiting the museum to learn about the castle's hydraulic system. By afternoon you'll transfer to Habarana.

- Day 3
Polonnaruwa Ancient Kingdom
Start with breakfast, then transfer to Polonnaruwa to explore the World Heritage Site of this 800-year-old ancient kingdom. You'll walk around the archaeological site viewing stupas, resting Buddha statues, old irrigation canals, and Hindu sculptures. The unique Vatadage structure has ornate stone carvings, and at Gal Vihara you'll see a perfect Buddha statue carved from solid rock. You can also explore the Nissankamalla Council Chamber and view the 12th-century Parakrama Samudra irrigation system. Later you'll head back to Habarana.

- Day 4
Dambulla and Kandy
After breakfast, you'll visit Dambulla Cave Temple, a rock temple complex with five caves holding roughly 150 Buddha statues and paintings. From there you'll continue to Kandy to see the Temple of the Tooth, a golden-roofed temple that houses Sri Lanka's most important Buddhist relic. Spend time exploring Kandy's lakeside setting and the UNESCO World Heritage Sacred City surroundings. You can browse the fresh fruit and vegetable stands at the local market. In the evening, join a cultural show with traditional Sri Lankan music and drumming.

Colombo City Tour and Cultural Experience
You'll transfer from Kandy back to Colombo, exploring the capital's colonial heritage and vibrant culture along the way. Start at Gangaramaya Temple, one of Colombo's oldest Buddhist temples, then head into the bustling Slave Island and Pettah areas to find authentic street food spots. Try Sri Lankan arrack at a local bar and sample authentic street food like traditional Kottu Roti. A tuk-tuk ride takes you back to your hotel to finish the day.
