Itinerary
- Day 1
Tarangire National Park
Hotel pickup takes you to Tarangire National Park, about 2 hours away. Once there, you'll spend the morning and early afternoon on a game drive looking for elephants, which the park is known for, along with lions, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras. The ancient baobab trees are scattered throughout and really stand out. Around midday, you'll stop for lunch at a picnic site by the Tarangire River, then head back out for more game driving before reaching your lodge in Mto Wa Mbu by evening.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, it's a 145km drive to Serengeti National Park. You'll travel through farmland in Karatu and through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending into the Serengeti's open plains. Head straight to the Seronera area, which offers good wildlife viewing opportunities. Lunch happens at camp, then you get an afternoon game drive to spot various species before settling in for the night.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro
This one starts early with breakfast and an early morning game drive in the Serengeti to catch wildlife activity. Later on, you'll head toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area and take an afternoon game drive as you leave the Serengeti. Grab lunch at camp before packing up. The drive to Ang'ta Ngorongoro Tented Lodge near the crater rim takes about 2 hours, so you'll arrive in the late afternoon or early evening.

Ngorongoro Crater
Starting after an early breakfast, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, dropping over 600 meters into this geological formation. Inside, you'll look for wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, elephants, lions, hyenas, and cheetahs all in one place. Stop by Lake Magadi, the shallow alkaline lake in the southwest corner where flamingos, hippos, and other water birds gather. You'll head back to your lodge after exploring, so it's a full day of crater viewing and wildlife spotting.

Tarangire National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for one last game drive. You'll look for elephants, the baobab trees, and predators like lions and cheetahs, plus giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras. Lunch is a picnic by the Tarangire River. In the afternoon, the drive back to Arusha takes you out of the park and completes this portion of your trip.
