Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your guide will pick you up and after about 2 hours of driving, you'll arrive at Tarangire National Park. The vehicle's roof opens up so you can see better while spotting wildlife, including some of the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania along with giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, and various antelopes. The landscape shifts between seasonal marshes and tree savannah with massive baobab trees scattered throughout. By afternoon you'll reach Tarangire Sopa Lodge, where you can relax and catch the sunset.

Tarangire to Serengeti via Ngorongoro
After breakfast, you're heading to Serengeti National Park, driving through the high farmland around Karatu and through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. If you're interested, there's an option to visit a Maasai village to learn about their way of life, though this costs extra and isn't part of the main package. From there you'll descend into the Serengeti's open plains toward the Seronera area, which has some of the richest wildlife habitats in the park thanks to the Seronera River. You'll get to the lodge in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive.

Serengeti
After breakfast, you'll spend the day exploring more of the central Serengeti, particularly around the Seronera area where wildlife is especially concentrated. The Seronera River provides water year-round, which keeps the area populated with most species found throughout the park. Lunch happens at the lodge, and then you'll go out again in the afternoon for another game drive to see what else you can spot.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro
This day starts early with a morning game drive in the Serengeti before you head toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After a quick breakfast, you'll continue watching for wildlife until the afternoon, when you'll head back to pack your things and have lunch. Before leaving the Serengeti, you'll do one final game drive as you make your way to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, which sits near the rim of the crater.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
You'll have an early breakfast and then descend more than 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater, where wildlife thrives because of the year-round water and vegetation. You'll see herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and large African elephants, plus plenty of predators like lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards living in this concentrated habitat. Stop at Lake Magadi, a large shallow alkaline lake where flamingos, hippos, and water birds congregate. In the late afternoon, you'll get transferred back to Arusha for your hotel or airport.
