Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
A Sherpa Expedition Teams representative meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu's main tourist area. Once you settle in, your guide will go over the trip details and answer any questions you have about what's coming up.

- Day 2
Kathmandu Valley
You'll spend the day on a guided tour of Kathmandu Valley hitting four major temples and cultural sites. Start at Pashupatinath, Nepal's holiest Hindu temple sitting on the Bagmati River, then move on to Bouddhanath Buddhist temple and Swayambhunath Monkey Temple. After that you'll see Kathmandu Durbar Square (a UNESCO World Heritage site), followed by Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Head back to Thamel by evening with free time to shop or relax at cafes.

Kathmandu to Pokhara
Your drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara takes you through scenic terraced farmlands, rivers, and gorges with snow-covered peaks in the distance. You'll stop in local villages to walk around and grab a meal break along the way. When you arrive in Pokhara, you'll stay near Phewa Tal lake and catch sunset views over the water and mountains at Lakeside.

- Day 4
Pokhara
This morning you'll tour around Pokhara by private vehicle with views of the Annapurna Ranges and Mt. Machapuchare (Fish Tail mountain). Head to Devi's Falls, located 2 kilometers from town, then take a boat trip on Phewa Tal lake (about 1.5 kilometers). If you're interested, there's an optional visit to Bat Cave as well.

Pokhara to Chitwan
After driving from Pokhara to Chitwan, you'll arrive at the resort, get welcome drinks, and freshen up. Later you'll walk around Tharu village to see the indigenous ethnic group that lives in the Tarai region. End the day watching the sunset from Rapti River.

Chitwan National Park
Early morning you'll go on a dugout canoe trip down the Rapti River inside Chitwan National Park to spot crocodiles, birds, and other wildlife. From there, walk 10 minutes to the Elephant Breeding Centre to learn how they feed and care for young elephants. You'll then visit Tharu villages to understand their culture, language, and traditional farming. Finish by watching the sunset from the riverbank.

Chitwan to Lumbini
You'll travel from Chitwan to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Siddhartha, Lord Buddha. The drive takes you through different terrain as you head toward this historically significant location.

Landmarks Lumbini - Day 8
Lumbini
This is your free day to explore Lumbini at your own pace. Check out Puskarni Pond, the Ashoka statue, nativity sculpture, crane sanctuary, peace meditation center, and Lumbini Research Center. Walk through the international monasteries or visit the peace stupa. Since Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage site, there's plenty to see and understand about Buddhist history.

Lumbini to Kathmandu
You'll drive from Lumbini back to Kathmandu (7 to 8 hours by road), or you can fly if you prefer (about 30 minutes). Once you're back, the evening is yours for last-minute shopping in Thamel or grabbing drinks at a local bar.

Departure
A Sherpa Expedition Teams representative will transfer you to the airport at least 3 hours before your departure flight, giving you enough time to check in and head through security.
