The 8th-century Kailasanatha Temple is the main draw here with its detailed carvings and 58 small shrines built into the structure. Next comes the Ekambaranatha temple, which sits as a major shrine to Lord Shiva and houses a 3000-year-old mango tree that's genuinely impressive to see. After that you'll continue driving to Mahabalipuram and check into your hotel. The rest of your day is free, so you can settle in, grab a meal, and prepare for tomorrow's temple tour.

The five Rathas (chariot temples) come next and showcase how these structures were carved from single rock formations. You'll also see the Varaha Cave with its intricate Pallava carvings that show real technical skill from ancient artisans. Arjuna's Penance, a massive bas-relief carved into rock, is another key stop that gives you a sense of scale. In the afternoon, you'll drive toward Pondicherry for your overnight stay.

This was the worst tour I have ever taken. Firstly, the hotels were lucky to be a 1 or 2 star., I had to ask for towels and toilet paper in most of them. The tour guides struggled to speak English so they were pointless.. I was hoping to join a tour group, but only to find I was driven around souther india with a driver my myself for the full time.. To say I feel ripped off it an understatement!!

Hello, The destinations were wonderful. It was good that there were tour guides in the cities. Our driver and the vehicle were particularly excellent. The hotels were good, as were the rooms. The only thing we didn't always like was the location, often outside the city or on main roads. So it was no longer possible to get to the sea or the old town in the evening or the journey times were very long. We were happy to have booked the trip.

Do yo offer group tours in a bus? How about lunch and dinner? Typically you get people to particular places pre planned by you.

Normally our group is smaller group of 5-10 members. For 6-10 members we offer group tours in a bus. Typically, we follow the same Itinerary when in a Group. But it can be modified if one want to run on private basis. In the Tour Cost only breakfast is included. As for meals, we can arrange for lunch and dinner to be included, depending on your preferences.
