Kathmandu
An airport representative meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drives you to your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day to rest up and get settled after traveling.

Kathmandu
After breakfast, your guide picks you up and takes you through Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO World Heritage sites. You'll see sacred temples and stupas that show the region's spiritual history and cultural richness.

Kathmandu to Paro to Thimphu
An early morning flight to Paro gives you views of the highest mountain peaks. Once you land and meet your guide, you'll transfer to Thimphu where you'll check out temples, cultural sites including the large Buddha statue, and the royal fortress. The day wraps up with an evening walk around Bhutan's biggest town.

- Day 4
Thimphu to Punakha
You'll browse Thimphu's weekend market, visit traditional paper mills and craft schools, and meet young monks and nuns. After that, the drive takes you over Dochula Pass, which has 180-degree mountain views and 108 stupas, then continues to Punakha's subtropical valley. The day ends with a hike through rice paddies to reach the fertility temple.

- Day 5
Punakha to Paro
Depending on where you're staying, you might do an early morning hike to a nunnery. Then you'll see Punakha Dzong, the country's most impressive fortress, before heading back toward Paro with a lunch break in Thimphu. In Paro, you'll visit the fortress, cross the oldest wooden bridge still in use, wander the old town, and look through local handicraft stores.

Paro
A 3-hour uphill hike takes you to Tiger's Nest, the most revered temple on a granite cliff above Paro Valley. On the way back down, if the weather cooperates and your energy holds, you can visit Kichu Lakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest temples. Your evening finishes with a farewell dinner alongside your guide.

Early in the morning, you'll transfer to Paro Airport for your departure flight, and your guide will say goodbye at the airport. When you arrive back in Kathmandu, someone picks you up and takes you to your hotel for the night.
