Had enough free time to do our own things but also got to experience Korean culture. A trip like this is best for people that want independence and can take care of themselves since there is a lot to do outside of the cultural experiences.Show more

Asked on August 30th, 2025I am interested in this tour, but have concerns about the hostel set up. Is it like a hotel where I can shower in the room or do I have to go to a different location of the building? I also wanted to know about some of the itineraries and are they mandatory? One does not interest me, so could I do something on my own that particular day? For instance, instead of a cooking class, I would be more interested in seeing a baseball game.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written September 2025With a hostel the showers and bathrooms are not situated within the rooms, they will be in a different part of the hostel. If this is a concern for you we do offer a slightly more premium tour where we use hotels instead of hostels. These are all the included tours and optional activities. Most of our optional activities can be booked during your trip, however, there are a couple that must be booked in advance to guarantee availability. You of course don't have to take part in all the included activities but we can't offer a reduced rate if you decide to go on the activity.

Asked on August 15th, 2025I am 72, walk an average of 15 km per day, run 5 km 3 times a week and hike with altitude differences of 300-500 m often. I travel solo for most of my life and worked in chine, most european countries, india, manaus, turkey. I am fitter than many of the young people. I am very sad of some of the answers about trips that are more suited for people older than 55. Those more pampering trips may be more suited to many much younger people.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written August 2025I understand you're in very good shape and would be able to keep up with the younger group members, but the recommended age range is mainly in place for the overall age dynamic of the trip. The age range of the people on the trip departing on the 2nd November 2025 is 21-48.

Asked on August 13th, 2025is there a higher fee for solo travelers? is the discount fair the same in 10/26? from the itinerary should I assume we dont go to Busan?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written August 2025This trip has been tailored with solo travellers in mind, which means the trip price is the same for everyone, regardless of whether you'll be joining the trip by yourself, or with a travel buddy. Most of our guests are solo travellers looking to meet likeminded travellers looking to have an unforgettable experience in a foreign country. We don't have any discounts for trips in 2026. If you want to the trip for the best price, we advise booking today because our trip prices increase every year. If you'd like, you can also set up an instalment plan through Tour Radar and pay back the trip on a monthly basis in smaller amounts. On Day-7, you travel to Busan where you spend 2 nights. While you're in Busan, you'll visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and visit Gamcheon Culture Village. You'll have your own time to explore Busan.

Asked on August 8th, 2025checking for 3-4 adults for April 2026. Interested in this tour and or another one in Korea for main highlights and locations. What is the cost for premium accommodation and private rooms for couple and single? Not sure about the hostels. What does that entail?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written August 2025For the 12-day Tour, the standard accommodation is shared dorm rooms. With the room upgrade option, we can upgrade you to a mix of basic hotels or private rooms within the hostels. The room upgrade is priced at: Single Room - £580 GBP, Twin/Double Room - £390 GBP (180 per person). We have a departure date of the 05-April, too. Some of the food is included during the tour, including breakfast at the hotels, 4 lunches and 4 dinners.

Asked on July 7th, 2025I am a 65 year young man. I see the restriction is to 55 years old. I was wondering if i can join this tour. I am a very experienced traveler and i understand that this tour will not have the luxury of the seniors trips.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025Our South Korea 12 day tour is primarily aimed at a younger audience. While we strive to cater to a diverse range of travellers, it is important to consider whether the tour aligns with your expectations and preferences. Our tours are very active and jam-packed, including early starts and getting on and off local transportation. There will be a lot of walking, and activities such as cycling. You could be walking up to 20,000 steps per day! The accommodation will be hostel based, even with a room upgrade you may be in a private room in the hostel, depending on the location, so it may be a bit noisy in the evenings.

Asked on July 5th, 2025I am a travel agent based in Mexico and I am considering promoting this tour in my country. I am interested in organizing a group for April 2026. Will the current tour price change after a certain date? Is it possible to reserve exclusive dates for a group in advance?
- D
Dean
Traveler•Written July 2025If someone in the group is traveling alone and requests a single room, what rate applies? If a solo traveler is open to sharing a room but no roommate is available, how is this situation handled? What is the rate for a solo traveler who prefers a private room from the beginning?
- D
Dean
Traveler•Written July 2025Are payments made directly to TourRadar? Can a personalized payment link be generated for each client? Is a payment schedule provided for clients who wish to pay in installments?

Traveler•Written July 2025Is this tour available with a Spanish-speaking guide, or is it possible to request one for the group?
The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025Prices are generally fixed for a certain season or calendar year, but they are subject to change depending on factors like supplier rates, availability, and demand. We can provisionally block a departure date for your group depending on availability. A deposit may be required to secure the date exclusively.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025A single supplement fee will apply. In most cases, we will try to match solo travelers with another solo traveler of the same gender. If no match is found, they may be required to pay the single supplement. A solo traveler preferring a private room would pay the regular tour price plus the full single supplement fee.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025If promoting via TourRadar, clients can book and pay directly through their platform. We typically require a deposit to confirm a booking, with the balance due closer to departure. In some cases, we can offer structured payment plans.
The Dragon TripOperator•Written July 2025Our tours are primarily led in English, but for private groups, a Spanish-speaking guide can be arranged at an additional cost.
