Garmisch-Partenkirchen
You'll arrive in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and check into your hotel, where the staff will walk you through what to expect for the walking tour ahead. This gives you time to settle in and get your bearings before hitting the trails.

Partnach Gorge to Klais or Mittenwald
Head out on a scenic walk through Partnach Gorge, where water from the Wetterstein massif flows together. From there, you'll cross gentle hills and alpine pastures heading toward Klais or Mittenwald, taking in the dramatic mountain landscape along the way.

Leutascher Ache to Leutasch Valley
Walk through a dramatic gorge with precise stone masonry carved right through steep rock walls. Bold wooden footbridges cross about 40 meters above the water, and after passing through hamlets and flower meadows, the route opens into the Leutasch valley with the Wetterstein massif rising in the distance.

Seefeld
You have flexibility today. Stick around your accommodation and relax, or head out to check out the lakes near Seefeld. If you're feeling active, hike to one of the Seefelder summits or take the cable car if you'd rather skip the uphill work. Later, you'll take a coach back to Leutasch.

Landmarks Seefeld - Day 5
Gaistal Valley to Ehrwald
A short bus ride takes you into Gaistal Valley where Haflinger horses and alpine cattle graze in the fields. You'll walk the Ganghofer path through scenic countryside to Ehrwalder Alpine Pasture, a spot where Bavarian author Ludwig Ganghofer used to spend time. After taking the cable car down, continue on to Ehrwald.

Zugspitze and Eibsee Lake
Step by step, you'll make your way up toward the foothills of Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, and reach the viewpoint at Eibsee. The walk ends right at the shore of this alpine lake with the Zugspitze-Garmisch panorama spread out in front of you. You'll return to Garmisch by Zugspitz train.
