Itinerary

Day 1
Mount Kilimanjaro
You'll have breakfast at your hotel before meeting your guide for the drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. After registering, the climb starts through the rainforest heading toward Mandara encampment at 2,700m/8,858ft. Along the trail you'll pass Eucalyptus trees and keep an eye out for Colobus monkeys and various birdlife. There's a side trip option to Maundi Crater where you can see across Northern Tanzania and into Kenya. After lunch, you'll hike back down to the park gate and get driven back to Moshi or Arusha.

Tour guide Oscar was superb. Very professional and patient. However the Manager was unresponsive and I had to really take lots of effort to locate him. After that too he did not arrange the trip properly. The Tracel Africa address in Arusha is a fake address.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before January 1st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 1st, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Travel Africa Safari Agency. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
