Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll touch down at Tribhuwan International Airport where someone from the tour will meet you. After heading to the hotel for a quick rundown of what's coming up, the evening includes a traditional welcome dinner. This is your chance to settle in and get oriented before things get going.

- Day 2
Mount Everest Flight and Kathmandu Durbar Square
Following breakfast, you'll take a 45-minute flight through the Himalayas with views of Mount Everest from the cockpit and the chance to photograph from up there. Back at the hotel after a rest, then it's time to walk through Kathmandu Durbar Square and see Hanuman Dhoka Palace and Kumari Chowk, where the Living Goddess resides. From there, head through Asan Bazaar on foot before returning to the hotel.

Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Patan Durbar Square
After breakfast, you'll head to Boudhanath Stupa, a 14th-century Buddhist site where you can hear chanting and see local traders with lamps and cloth. Next, drive to Pashupatinath Temple to observe rituals at this important Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, and you'll learn about Hindu customs here. An astrologer can provide readings if you're interested. In the afternoon, go to Patan Durbar Square to take in the old Nepalese architecture, temples, and palaces.

Swayambunath Stupa and Bhaktapur
Drive up to Swayambunath Stupa on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu Valley. The white dome and golden spire are distinctive, and you'll get mountain views from the site itself. After that, head to Bhaktapur, a well-preserved old city with traditional architecture. Walk through courtyards with terra-cotta works, carved wooden columns, ornate temples and palaces with gold roofs, then talk with locals and check out the pagodas. You'll stay overnight in Bhaktapur.

Departure from Kathmandu
This day is yours to spend how you like. Many people use it for shopping or visiting places they missed around the city. Your guide can point you toward good shops and sites worth seeing. When it's time, your airport representative will go with you to the airport for your flight out.
