- Shantanu· September 15th, 2025Our recent Kenya–Tanzania trip with this company was nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, we made it explicitly clear that we are strict vegetarians. Yet, to our absolute shock and disgust, we were served meat—not once, but TWICE. To make matters worse, the manager himself confirmed that the meals were vegetarian, and even the lunch boxes were labeled “Vegetarian.” Still, they contained non-veg items. The mental trauma of such an experience cannot be explained in words or compensated in money. For vegetarians, especially when food is a matter of both belief and personal choice, this level of negligence is unforgivable. When we requested a refund for this shocking breach of trust, their response was evasive at best—they simply said they would “look into it.” No accountability, no resolution, only empty promises. It has also become painfully clear that this company acts merely as a middleman, passing clients from one agency to another while shamelessly pocketing commissions at every step. There is zero ownership, zero responsibility, and certainly zero professionalism. If you value your peace of mind, dignity, and basic respect for your dietary choices, stay far away from this tour operator. They are irresponsible, untrustworthy, and only interested in making money at your expense.Show more
Trip date: September 2025 - AAnonymous· April 9th, 2023We have done a few safaris in Africa (in South Africa and Botswana), but this safari tour was by far the best. "Holiday Destination Safaris" put together a bespoke tour for us to fit in with our travel plans & budget, and it was perfect from beginning to end. We started in Arusha, then to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and then to Amboseli in Kenya - the diversity of landscapes and animals across the reagion was incredible and we would do it exactly the same again if we could. Holiday Destination Safaris also assisted us in crossing the border from Tanzania in to Kenya, and even dropped us off at our hotel in Nairobi at the end. Our safari guides were friendly, professional, highly knowledgable on all the flora and fauna of the region with many years of experience, and their customer service was second to none. We felt perfectly safe the entire time and were sad when the safari was over. The next time we will do a safari in Tanzania, we will for sure book with Holiday Destination Safaris.Show more

Asked on June 3rd, 2023What are the accommodations for this tour? The itinerary says lodges but the accommodations section mentions camps?
Holiday Destination SafarisOperator•Written June 2023For this safari we do accommodation in a hotel in Nairobi, a lodge in Amboseli and Ngorongoro and a tented camp in Serengeti National Park. The tented camp in Serengeti is just like a lodge only the rooms are enclosed with canvas. They do have modern facilities like flash toilets and hot showers all inside. You will not pitch tents to sleep in. If one of you would like to stay alone in a single room then a single room supplement will be added to the cost.
