Itinerary
- Day 1
Colombo to Kegalle
You'll arrive at Colombo International Airport where your representative meets you for the transfer to Kegalle. After checking into your hotel, you'll have time to rest and settle in. Later in the evening, sit down with your tour guide to plan out the activities coming up over the next few days.

Kegalle to Sigiriya
Following breakfast, head to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to watch the baby elephants during feeding and bath time. From there, you'll visit the Golden Temple of Dambulla and stop by a wood carving workshop where local artisans sell their handmade work. By late afternoon, drive to Sigiriya Rock to explore this significant archaeological site before heading back to your hotel.

Sigiriya
Start early with a guided climb up Lion Rock at Sigiriya to see King Kasyapa's ancient palace ruins and learn about the fortress's history. After coming down, you can choose to ride an elephant in the surrounding area if you'd like. Then head to Hiriwadunna village where you'll experience traditional life through bullock cart and boat rides across paddy fields, finishing with homemade traditional Sri Lankan lunch.

Sigiriya to Habarana
Spend your day at Minneriya National Park on a full or half-day game drive to see one of the world's largest gatherings of wild Asian elephants. You'll spot elephants, birds, and other wildlife throughout the day while having local jungle food. By evening, watch the elephants gather at the lakeside as the sun starts to set.

Habarana to Anuradhapura
Travel to Anuradhapura, one of the world's greatest ancient monastic cities. Anuradhapura to Kandy
Head out early for Kandy, a mountain-surrounded city known for tea plantations and rainforests. On the way, stop in Matale to visit the famous Tooth Relic Temple. When you arrive in Kandy, you'll have the evening free to enjoy a cultural show that highlights Sri Lanka's traditions and heritage.

Kandy

Kandy to Ella
Leave early in the morning heading toward Ella through Nuwara Eliya, traveling through fog-covered mountain passes with views of tea plantations. Stop at Ramboda Falls to see the waterfall. You'll pass through Nuwara Eliya City and tour a tea factory before arriving in Ella by evening.

Ella to Tissamaharama
If you're interested in hiking, start early to reach Little Adam's Peak for the best views of Ella Gap. Stop by the Nine Arch Bridge, a popular Ella attraction. Then head south toward Yala with a stop at Ravana Waterfall along the way. Check into your hotel in Tissamaharama by evening.

Tissamaharama to Udawalawe
Travel to Udawalawe National Park, an important habitat for Sri Lankan elephants and water birds. Visit the Elephant Transit Home to see how orphaned and injured baby elephants get rehabilitated. At noon, you'll watch the baby elephants being fed milk. Later, take a game drive through the park to see more wildlife.

- Day 12
Udawalawe to Unawatuna
Head to Unawatuna through Mirissa, known for whale and dolphin sightings. Take a boat trip out to sea to try spotting these marine creatures. Stop at Weligama beach to see traditional stilt fishermen working from poles in the shallow water just offshore. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach before heading to your hotel.

Unawatuna to Ambalangoda
Leave Unawatuna in the morning and visit several heritage sites including Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that started as a Portuguese fortress in 1588 and was heavily fortified by the Dutch beginning in 1649. Then check out moonstone mines at Meetiyagoda, a spice garden, and take a Madu Ganga safari through mangrove forests. End the day at a mask carving factory and museum in Ambalangoda.
