- Michael· February 12th, 2025This review is more of a critique on how this tour was sold on Tourrader as well as the trip itself. It is sold as a "partially guided' and 'In depth cultural", in reality it is a taxi service, nothing more. I was driven without any context from one "activity" to another and the driver would just announce "Echo Point, you go" offering no help with any language or cultural differences. I was asked multiple times in Munnar if I wanted to go on "Jeep Safari" or if I wanted a massage, the Jeep safari had poor reviews online so I passed. Also most of the places of interest in Munnar were just scams to get you to spend more money. The Tea Museum was two small rooms with some furniture and a room with a conveyor belt, all connected to a tea store. The Spice Plantation was a modest garden connected to a supplement shop, the woman got angry with me when I told her I didn't want to purchase anything. The Botanical Center was, you guessed it, a greenhouse with a flower shop. The tea fields themselves were beautiful and the highlight of Munnar, but hard to appreciate because the driver was driving 60+KPH and overtaking other drivers, while talking on his cellphone or belching most of the time. There was also no evening "Spice Tea trailing" as both days in Munnar I was back at the Hotel by mid afternoon. Thekkady was an improvement, the Boat Safari was the highlight of the tour. Day four Alleppy, once again aggressively driven without context to the houseboat, no patty fields were visited. The houseboat was dirty, I had to wash and sanitize my utensils, the crew was unfriendly (except the captain) once again I expected to purchase fish at a market, even though all meals were included and was met with anger when I didn't. The entire time I felt like I was a burden and inconvenience on the driver, I understand there is a language and cultural difference, but at no time was I made to feel welcomed, and as mentioned his aggressive driving and behavior was a huge detractor. I would not recommend this trip to a first time visitor to India.Show moreTrip date: January 2025
- Javier· August 25th, 2023Amazing place! I was impressed by the beauty Kerala has to offer. Full of surprises and also very nice people. The tour was super chill and relaxing. Even though I got to see plenty, I still feel like I had plenty of time to just relax and enjoy nature and the tea fields in Munar, or the relaxing tour around the lake in Allepey, or learn about culture en ThekkadyShow moreKerala Holiday Club commented on this reviewHi Javier On behalf of the entire team, thank you for the wonderful review.
