- Day 1
Lugo
You'll arrive in Lugo and have time to settle in at your own pace. The city has quite a bit to see, starting with the Roman Wall, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site that you can walk along. There's the Wall Interpretation Centre if you want to learn more about its history, plus the Mosaics House, City Hall with its Tower Clock, and the Cathedral of Santa María. Spend your first day getting oriented and checking out whichever sites interest you most.

Lugo to San Romao Da Retorta
After breakfast in Lugo, you'll head out on foot to San Romao Da Retorta, a small pilgrimage village. You'll visit the Church of San Romao Da Retorta and see a replica Roman Milestone that was found in the village. Your bags get transported ahead to where you're staying that night, so you just need to focus on the walk and the sights along the way.

Landmarks Church of San Romao Da Retorta - Day 3
San Romao Da Retorta to Melide
Starting after breakfast in San Romao Da Retorta, you'll walk to Melide, which has roots going back before Roman times. Stop by the Romanesque Church of San Pedro and check out a 14th-century cruceiro wayside cross in town. The Terra Museum of Melide is there if you want more local history. Don't skip trying the authentic Galician food here, especially the famous octopus that Melide is known for.

You'll have breakfast in Melide and then walk to Arzúa. Once there, you can explore the Convent of Magdalena and the Church of Santiago. Your luggage gets moved ahead again to your accommodation for the evening, leaving you free to walk without the weight of your bags.

Arzúa to O Pedrouzo
After breakfast in Arzúa, you'll continue on foot to O Pedrouzo. Along the way, you'll pass the Chapel of Santa Irene as you get closer to this final stage before reaching Santiago. It's a shorter day than some of the others, and your luggage will be transported to your lodging so you can travel light.

O Pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela
After breakfast in O Pedrouzo, you'll make the final walk into Santiago de Compostela. You'll arrive at the Cathedral and the Square of Obradouro, which are the heart of the city. From there, you can wander through the historic district with its narrow streets, try local food and wine, and visit the Catholic Monarchs Inn, the Monastery of San Martín Pinario, and the Pazo of Raxoi.
