Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Pokhara
A tourist bus picks you up from your Kathmandu hotel early in the morning for the drive to Pokhara. The journey takes about 6 hours through varied terrain, and it's mainly a travel day to get you to where your trek actually begins. You'll arrive in Pokhara with time to settle in before evening.

- Day 2
Pokhara to Pitam Deurali
After a short drive to Dhampus, you'll start hiking on what's meant to be an easy first day. The trail heads toward Pitam Deurali, a mountain ridge where you get your initial look at the Annapurna range. It's a nice way to ease into the trek without overdoing it.

Landmarks Annapurna Mountain Range - Day 3
Pitam Deurali to Forest Camp
Your hike today takes you through rhododendron forest that's typical of this region in Nepal. You're working your way to Forest Camp, going deeper into the mountain wilderness with each step. The forest walk is gradual and gives you a real sense of moving into the backcountry.

Forest Camp to Middle Camp
Leaving Forest Camp, you'll see Machapuchre (also called Fishtail Mountain) come into view. By lunchtime, you reach Low Camp, then continue climbing in the afternoon to Middle Camp. The scenery shifts as you gain elevation, and you're getting closer to the ridge now.

Middle Camp to High Camp
Today is a steady climb from Middle Camp up to High Camp on the Mardi Himal ridge. The ascent isn't too aggressive, and once you arrive, you'll have 360-degree views all around you. It's the kind of spot where you really feel like you're on top of things.

Landmarks Mardi Himal Ridge - Day 6
High Camp to Mardi Himal Viewpoint
You'll start well before sunrise for the hike to the Mardi Himal viewpoint, so you can be there as the light comes up. From here, you look down toward Annapurna Base Camp, and the glaciers of Annapurna I are visible in clear detail. This is the high point of your trek, literally and experience-wise.

High Camp to Sidhing
Now you're heading down from the ridge through the forest toward Sidhing. The descent lets your body recover after several days of climbing. You're retracing part of your route but in reverse, making your way back down to lower elevation.

Sidhing to Lumre to Pokhara
A short hike brings you to Lumre, which marks the end of your trekking. From there, it's a couple of hours' drive back to Pokhara where you can relax by Phewa Lake. After days in the mountains, this is your chance to unwind before heading back to the city.

Landmarks Phewa Lake - Day 9
Pokhara to Kathmandu
The final day is a 6-hour bus ride from Pokhara back to Kathmandu on a tourist bus. You'll be dropped off at your hotel where you started. It's a long drive, so settle in and reflect on the trek as you head back to the valley.
