Itinerary
- Day 1
Ulaanbaatar to Terelj National Park
After pickup at your Ulaanbaatar hotel, you'll travel about 60 kilometers east into Terelj National Park. The drive takes you through changing landscape before you start walking around the park's rock formations, which have interesting shapes (one looks like a camel, another like a man reading). You'll visit Aryabal Monastery and check out Turtle Rock during the day. By evening, you'll settle into a tourist ger camp for the night.

Horse Trekking to Lake
You'll drive further into Terelj Park, covering up to 110 kilometers, then transfer to horses with a local guide. From there, horseback trekking takes you through marshy areas and mountains, passing green meadows as you head toward the lake. Dinner happens at the lake's shore, and you'll sleep in a tent for the night after your first day on horseback.

- Day 3
Lake
The day is yours to spend around the lake however you like. Swimming, fishing, hiking the surrounding area, or taking more horse rides are all options. Meals get prepared right on the lake's banks, and you'll stay another night in your tent with peaceful views around you.

Landmarks Terelj National Park - Day 4
Lake to Ulaanbaatar
After heading down the Khavirga threshold of Khentii mountain, you'll ride back to where the horse trek started. Lunch is served at that location, then you'll say goodbye to your guide and horses. The drive back to downtown Ulaanbaatar takes the afternoon and evening, ending your trip.
