- Day 1
Kathmandu
Your hotel pickup happens at 9:00 am, and from there you'll head into Kathmandu to see the main sights. Kathmandu Durbar Square gives you a sense of the city's historical heart with its old palaces and temples clustered together. After that, you're off to the Monkey Temple, which sits on a hill and offers views across the valley, though you should know the monkeys there can be mischievous. Then comes Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important Hindu temples in the region, where you'll see activity along the river. Your final stop is Boudhanath Stupa, a large white dome that's central to Buddhist life in the city. The day wraps up with a hotel drop-off around 4:30 pm, so you'll have time to grab dinner and rest.

Kathmandu
Another 9:00 am pickup takes you to three different durbar squares in the Kathmandu Valley. First up is Patan Durbar Square, where you can walk around the old royal palace and see intricate carved windows and courtyards. From there you'll travel to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which feels less crowded than Kathmandu's version and has a nice mix of temples and traditional architecture. The last stop is Changu Narayan Temple, perched on a hilltop with older carved details and local history. It's a full day of temple and palace hopping, so you'll need comfortable walking shoes. Hotel drop-off happens by around 4:30 pm, leaving your evening free.
