- KKaren· November 19th, 2023My friend and I had an absolutely incredible time on the Chisapani Nagarkot 3-day hike with Outshine Adventure. It was the highlight of our 2 week trip to India and Nepal. (We are two women in our 30s from the US.) Everyone at Outshine is lovely and they always answered my questions quickly and professionally. Madan and Kumar were wonderful, friendly, and informative as our guide and porter. We went in early September 2023, and I was worried that it would be too wet and rainy at that time of year, but it wasn't an issue (I do recommend wearing waterproof hiking boots though). The nature was incredible and the views were spectacular (that’s an understatement!). We were tired after each day of hiking and the tea houses were perfect places to appreciate the view and rest after each day. Highly recommended!Show more

Outshine Adventure Operator•Written November 2023You gain elevation from 1350 meters to 2250 meters in one day from Kathmandu to Chisapani. It takes about 5-7 hours walks depends on walking paces of each different people. The trek is vehicles or jeep accessible, if you have any problem we may send you a vehicles on your request for an extra cost. This is the easiest hiking nearby Kathmandu therefore it wont have altitude problems. Usually elevations or altitude problems comes after 3500 meters hight.

Asked on September 26th, 2023How difficult is the trek? What type of clothes do we need to bring? How much do we need to tip to the driver and guide, just so we ring enough cash. Also do we carry small rucksacks? Are we staying in tea houses? Do we need to carry our own drinks/water etc/snacks? Do we get picked up from our hotel and dropped off? What happens if we have to cancel to unforeseen circumstances etc?

This is easiest trek in Nepal, you walk around 5 hours uphill to get to Chisapani and 6-7 hours flat, down and up hill getting in Nagarkot, easy at end about 3 days downhill. Yes, you carry small rucksacks and no need to take other big bags for two days, we provide hotel in both places and they have enough blankets to sleep. We provide meals in hotel by the menu cards. You may tips 5-10 dollars a day for one guide or porter, (not obligated but expected.) We pick up and drop off at the hotel you stay in Kathmandu. If you cancel with a month timeframe no charges, if you cancel within one month 20% non refundable.
