Thank you to Terka, our wonderful guide, and our fabulous drivers Munho, Shijie, and Mendee. They went above and beyond to share their beautiful country, and did everything with joy. The tour itself was amazing - Nadaam Festival was so much more than I expected, and travelling through the Gobi surprised me with how different the landscape was each day. Rolling green steppes, to icy valleys, to desert. This tour is the perfect way to experience the country. Each day in the Gobi involves a lot of time in the van to get to the next destination as it's so vast, but it's worth it to see so much in a short time. Thank you View Mongolia!

The whole tour…including drivers were great. I was dissatisfied with the tour guide Zuula. Every morning before we set off, he never tells us the day’s itinerary. We were 11 in the group and we were split into 2 vans. He rode in 1 van the whole trip (not the van I was in), and he never explained or given history of things/places along the way (I was told by the people in the van he was in), and that he spend most of the time on his phone. The multiple times we stopped, go out, he never checked to see if everyone are all back in the vans. What made me so angry, when we were shopping, I heard him say “she’s shopping for more socks”, a few minutes later I came out of the shop, and both vans were gone! I walked looking for them, a few minutes later I found them across the street, I confronted him and told him “you left me!”, his response “my bad, my mistake”. And I told him, “I heard you say she’s shopping for more socks!”. So unprofessional, he shouldn’t be a tour guide! So what if I’m buying more socks, he should be happy I’m helping the Mongolian economy, and I didn’t ask him to pay for them! After this incident, he started checking our van to make sure everyone are onboard. :(

Beautiful country. Great people. Guide unprofessional and did not share much information. Drivers got lost for hours and were unable to communicate with each other. Those who lagged behind during mountain climbing were left on their own while guide was in the front.
