Kathmandu
The Sherpa Expedition & Trekking team will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drive you to your hotel. After checking in, you'll get a briefing that covers what to expect, important guidelines, and what to pack for the trek ahead.

Kathmandu to Jagat
You'll leave Kathmandu this morning and head toward Besisahar, passing through villages and farmland with green hillsides surrounding you. From Besisahar Village, the trek continues until you reach Jagat for your overnight stop.

Jagat to Dharapani
Starting from Jagat, you'll head down to the river and walk through farmland where locals grow corn, barley, rice, and potatoes. The path winds through bamboo and rhododendron forests before climbing to a ridge where you'll see valley views, waterfalls, and the Annapurna range. After crossing rocky terrain, you'll reach Tal Village and continue to Dharapani for the night.

Dharapani to Koto
The trail goes through pine and fir forests to Bagarchhap over about 1.5 hours. Then you'll reach Danaque Village where Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II come into view. After another 1.5 hours you'll arrive at Latamarang Village (2400m/7875ft) for lunch. The path continues with glimpses of Annapurna II before reaching Koto Village for the night.

Koto to Meta
You'll register your restricted area permit at the checkpoint, then trek along the riverbank to Soti Khola Village. The trail passes through pine forests before crossing a suspension bridge and climbing to Meta Village on an open plateau. Here you'll get views of Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal from the Tibetan Plateau.

Meta to Phu Gaon
Multiple suspension bridges cross your path as the trail goes up and down throughout the day. After 4 hours you'll reach Kyang Village where old Tibetan Khampa fort ruins stand. Then you'll pass Phu Khola and trek for another 3 to 4 hours to Phu village for your overnight stay.

Phu Gaon
Today you'll stay in place to let your body adjust to the higher elevation. Walking around the village, you'll learn about the Lama, Gurung (Tamu), and Ghale (Lila) communities and how they farm and live in this harsh environment. Snow-capped peaks like Himlung Himal rise dramatically against the barren landscape.

Phu Gaon to Nar
From Phu Gaon you'll head down past numerous streams and suspension bridges to reach Nar Village. This settlement has several Buddhist monasteries and provides clear views of Pisang Peak and other snow-covered mountains. The village sits among stupas and striking stone buildings.

Nar
This is another acclimatization day to prepare for higher elevations ahead. You'll walk through Nar village exploring its Tibetan cultural features and meeting the friendly local people. Staying active during acclimatization helps your body adjust better to the altitude.

Nar to Nawal
You'll start early for a long uphill trek to Kang La Pass where you'll have views of the Annapurna Massif. From the pass you'll descend to Nawal Village for the night.

Nawal to Manang
Leaving Nawal this morning, the route goes to Manang and passes through Paugh, a mountain village with traditional stone architecture. Annapurna Mountain views dominate the background. You'll connect with the main Annapurna trail at Mungli and continue until reaching Manang.

Manang to Yak Kharka or Letdar
You'll trek uphill for 10.4 km which takes around 3 to 4 hours to reach Yak Kharka. The path goes through juniper forests where yaks graze in alpine pastures. A teahouse sits along the trail at Thorong Khola. Depending on conditions, you might go further and stop at Letdar instead.

Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi
As you climb higher, your body continues adjusting to the altitude. You'll follow the east bank of the Jarang Khola and see steep cliffs before reaching Thorong Phedi. Blue sheep sometimes appear here, and if you're fortunate, a snow leopard might be spotted. Lammergeyer vultures soar overhead in this region.

Thorong Phedi to Muktinath
This is likely the hardest day with 7 to 8 hours of hiking at high altitude where the air is thinner and winds can be strong. You'll see sheep, yaks, and merchants moving goods along the trail. At Thorong La Pass you'll have views of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Khatungkang (6484m/21273ft). After the pass you'll descend about 1600 meters through rolling terrain to Muktinath.

Muktinath to Jomsom
From Muktinath you'll trek through meadows and fruit orchards, crossing streams and passing through Kagbeni before reaching Jomsom in the Kali Gandaki valley. Kagbeni is known for its fruit farming.

Jomsom to Pokhara
You'll fly from Jomsom to Pokhara this morning on a scenic flight that drops through the gorge between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. After landing, you'll check into a lakeside hotel and have time to explore Phewa Tal lake with views of Mt Machapuchare (Fish Tail). A boat ride on the lake is an option, or you can walk the Lakeside area for shopping. Tonight there are clubs and bars to celebrate finishing the trek.
