  1. Day 1

    Colombo to Bentota

    You'll arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and get greeted with orchid garlands before heading to your hotel in Bentota, which takes about 2 hours by car. After checking in, you'll have a welcome drink and settle into your flower-decorated room for the night.

  2. Day 2

    Bentota

    The day is yours to spend at Bentota beach however you'd like. The beach has tons of options available, from Ayurveda and spa treatments to water activities like swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, parasailing, and fishing.

    Bentota

    Spend the morning relaxing on Bentota beach. Later in the evening, you'll take a boat ride through mangrove caves and try the natural fish therapy. Dinner features seafood by the river with candlelight, making for a nice romantic end to the day.

    Bentota to Sinharaja

    After breakfast, you'll travel to Sinharaja and check into your hotel. The day is free to use the hotel facilities. By late evening, there's a candlelight dinner at an outdoor location for you.

  5. Day 5

    Sinharaja

    Following breakfast, you'll head out on a guided trek through Sinharaja rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your naturalist guide will teach you about the geology, plants, and animals. The forest is home to 95% of Sri Lanka's endemic birds.

  6. Day 6

    Sinharaja to Belihul Oya

    After breakfast, you'll travel to the jungle region of Belihul Oya and check in. Later in the afternoon, a walking trail takes you through the village past paddy fields where you'll meet locals and learn about their way of life. You'll finish with a BBQ dinner under the stars.

    Belihul Oya

    Wake early to catch the sunrise over the mountains. After breakfast, a guided walk leads to a natural waterfall on the property where you can swim in the rock pool. The rest of the day you'll have access to hotel facilities, including a bird's nest viewpoint in a tree. Later, there's stargazing with a telescope.

    Belihul Oya to Ella

    Following an early breakfast, you'll drive to Ella for the tuk-tuk tour to 9 Arch Bridge, a structure built without any steel. Later, you'll trek through tea plantations and paddy fields to Little Adam's Peak and enjoy the views from the summit.

    Ella to Haputale and back to Ella

    After breakfast, board the scenic train from Ella to Haputale station. From there, you'll walk through tea plantations, jungles, and villages to reach Adhisham Bungalow, a historic monastery run by Benedictine monks. In the afternoon, you'll walk back and return by train to Ella, then have candlelit dinner at an outdoor spot.

    After breakfast, you'll drive to Nuwara Eliya, known as 'Little England', and spend the afternoon visiting Victoria Park, Gregory Lake, and the 19th century Golf Club. Later, you'll head to Calamander Gregory Lake Hotel for a romantic candlelit dinner by the lake.

    Nuwara Eliya to Kandy

    After breakfast, you'll travel to Kandy, stopping at Labookellie Tea Factory and Tea Plantation to taste fresh tea. In the afternoon, a tuk-tuk city tour takes you through Kandy to see the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the Big Buddha statue, and Kandy Lake. The day ends with a cultural show at one of the local theaters.

    Kandy

    You'll spend the full day from 8:30am to 4:30pm in an elephant encounter program focused on ethical treatment. Start with tea at a local home, then wash, feed, and photograph elephants. There's an authentic cooking lesson and lunch, followed by a visit to the Royal Botanical Garden with its orchids and suspension bridge. Dinner is candlelit at your hotel.

    • For any tour departing before February 15th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 15th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Beyond Escapes. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
