Kathmandu to Lukla to Chutok
You'll catch an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a scenic 30-minute journey over the Himalayas. Once you land and settle in, the trekking begins through lush rhododendron forests heading toward Chutok.

Chutok to Pangkongma
Today's trek takes you toward Kari La Pass at 2,730m, and the trails get tricky and slippery underfoot. You'll walk alongside the impressive Dudh Koshi river and pass through bamboo and rhododendron forests before reaching Pangkongma, a trading and farming village.

Pangkongma to Kurke

Kurke to Thuli Kharka
Starting from Kurke, you'll trek to Thuli Kharka by traversing Surke La Pass at 3,085 meters and ascending through Phokte village. The day includes passing through ChalemKharka and Danda Kharka, with views of Mera peaks along the way.

Thuli Kharka to Khothey
You'll descend for roughly 5 hours through pine and rhododendron forests into Hinku valley. The route starts with clear views of Mera South before you reach Khothey at 3,600m where you'll spend the night.

Khothey to Tangnag
Trek beside the Hinku Khola river and visit the summer settlement at Gondishung (4,350m) and Lungsum Gba Gompa, a 200-year-old monastery. You'll arrive at Tangnag with views of Kusum Kanguru and Peak 43 from here.

Tangnag Acclimatization Day
This is your acclimatization day to adjust to the high altitude and reduce mountain sickness risk. You'll hike for about 3 hours to Charpate Himal Glacier for close-up views of Mera North, then head back to your lodge to rest and prepare.

Tangnag to Khare
From Tangnag you'll trek past Sabal Tsho, a pristine moraine-dammed lake, and climb to a peak around 5,000m. The route continues through Dig Kharka to reach Khare base camp, with an optional visit to Hinku Nup Glacier.

Khare Reserve/Rest Day
This reserve day accounts for harsh Himalayan weather and helps minimize altitude sickness before the summit push. You'll check and repair your equipment, rest your body, and mentally prepare for what's ahead.

Khare to Mera La Base Camp
Departing Khare for Base Camp means tackling the challenging Mera La Pass at 5,415m with steep ascending steps and rocky trails. Climbing gear is required, and you'll see views of Mera Peak, Kusum Kanguru, Peak 43, Kangtega, and Malanphulan.

You'll trek cautiously from Base Camp to High Camp, watching for the safest climbing routes. To the east you'll see Chamlang, Makalu, and Baruntse, while to the north are Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. This is when you sharpen your mountaineering techniques.

Mera Peak Summit and Descent
Summit day arrives and you'll ascend Mount Mera at 6,461m with views of major Himalayan peaks including Everest, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Makalu, Lhotse, Chamlang, Ama Dablam, and Kangchenjunga. After reaching the summit you'll descend to High Camp and continue to Khare.

Khare to Khothey
You'll begin trekking back, passing through Thangnag and descending to Khothey at 3,600m. The route goes through Blue Himalayan pine forests with views of Mera peak, and you'll have time to rest and celebrate your summit achievement.

Khothey to Thuli Kharka

You'll trek for about 2 hours to Zatrwa La Pass at 4,610m with views of the Lukla valley and surrounding peaks like Cho Oyu, Kongde Peak, Number Himal, and Kusum Kanguru. From there you'll descend through Chutanga (3,020m) to reach Lukla.

Lukla to Kathmandu
You'll fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu on a scenic 30-minute flight over mountain ranges. With remaining time in the city you can explore and shop for Made in Nepal products like Pashmina, Lokta crafts, bronze statues, and wooden carvings.
