Cappadocia was even more amazing than I imagined! Our guideEldna (I think that is her name) was fantastic. HĄNCI Cave Horel was charming and comfortable and the owner/family were very nice and very helpful. My balloon ride was moved to Wednesday at my request and did not happen. I e we Luis encourage you to emphasize the possibility of a flight not going and giving yourself the option of an alternate date if your schedule allows. I wish I had been encouraged to do that. Pamala was nice. People should be aaard that they usually only have enough water flowing to fill a few pools and that walking barefoot on the travertine I can be pretty painful. I wish water shoes could be worn. Our guide there was nice, but tended to walk ahead with a couple of the younger tourists and sometimes began explanations before everyone caught up The restaurant we were taken to for lunch did not seem prepared for the many groups. The salad table was almost entirely picked over and almost empty except pasta salads and one with peas. I asked if they would be replenished and was told they would not.

This tour was ambitious and exactly what I was looking for in that it covered all the major historic highlights in Turkey in one shot. I did not do the balloon ride in Cappadocia but the cave homes and tufa structures were worth it. Historic Ephesus was a major destination and matched all the hype. The ancient sites of Pamukkale, Hierapolis, Perge and Aspendos were a goal of the trip. For the most part the guides were excellent, knowledgeable and personable. I've never been on a "tour" where each day I had new guides and new guests. None the less, all the connections worked. Were I to do this again, I would add some space between stops.
