Itinerary

Nagarkot
You'll head out from Kathmandu early in the morning for the drive to Nagarkot, a hill station about 20 miles away at 7200 feet. Once you arrive, there's a hiking route through the countryside that takes you past village communities and through oak forests mixed with rhododendrons and pine trees. If you're lucky with timing, you might spot some orchids along the trail. The elevation here gives you clear Himalayan views, and depending on when you time your hike, you could catch either a sunrise or sunset from up there, which is really the main draw for most people visiting this area.
