Itinerary
- Day 1
Pokhara to Ulleri
Your trek starts with a private car from Pokhara heading to Nayapul. Once you arrive, a scenic walk along the Modi Khola riverbank gets you moving through the landscape. You'll pass through Birethanti, a village with local shops and teahouses, then follow the Bhurungdi Khola trail as it climbs through the valley toward Hille and up to Ulleri. This first day is kept short and easy, giving you a chance to settle into trekking in the Annapurna region without overextending yourself.

Ulleri to Ghorepani
After a steep climb for roughly the first two hours, the trail becomes more gradual as you move through Banthanti. You'll walk through rhododendron and shaded forests with bird sounds filling the air around you. Major Himalayan peaks start coming into view including Machhapuchhare, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna. From there, the trail continues toward your camp for the night, and the landscape keeps revealing different perspectives of the peaks as you go higher.

Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani
Make an early start to climb the steep trail up to Poon Hill, timing it for sunrise views of the Himalayan range. Once the sun comes up, you'll see Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna I through IV, and Machhapuchhare spread out before you. After taking photos and soaking in the views, head back down to Ghorepani for breakfast. Later, trek onward through Banthali to Chuile, then descend into rhododendron forest passing waterfalls on your way down to Tadapani.

Tadapani to Chhomrong
Starting from Chuile, descend through thick rhododendron forest down to Kimrong Khola, then continue on to Chhomrong village via Gurjung where you stop for lunch. Chhomrong is the largest Gurung settlement in the area, and from there you get good views across the terrace village toward Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the distinctive pyramid shape of Machhapuchhare on the other side of the valley.

Landmarks/POIs Kimrong Khola Chhomrong - Day 5
Chhomrong to Deurali
Trek through gentle terrain today, walking past bamboo forests mixed in with rhododendron and oak trees as you head toward Annapurna Base Camp. You'll come across Hinko Cave along the way, a large overhanging rock formation that provides shelter from rain and avalanches. Keep moving on an easy ascending path through this scenic section until you reach Deurali, your stop for the evening.

Landmarks/POIs Hinko Cave - Day 6
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp
Walk through Machhapuchhare Base Camp, surrounded by mountains on all sides, then continue for about two hours to reach Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters. Spend the rest of the day exploring and relaxing at the base camp, taking in the views from your location in the heart of the Annapurna massif. This is the highest point of your trek and worth spending time to really experience it.

Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
Begin heading back down from Annapurna Base Camp by retracing your steps along the trail. The descent drops 1,700 meters in elevation as you make your way back down to the Modi Khola banks and the settlement of Bamboo at 2,345 meters. There are several teahouses and lodges in Bamboo where you can rest and grab some food after the long descent.

Landmarks/POIs Modi Khola - Day 8
Bamboo to Jhinu Danda
Trek from Bamboo through Khuldi Ghar to Sinuwa hill, then continue on toward Chhomrong village where you'll have a meal. After lunch, descend for about two hours down to Jhinu Danda, a small hill settlement known for its natural hot springs. Once you arrive, take advantage of the hot pools in the evening to soak and relax after the day's hiking.

Landmarks/POIs Jhinu Danda - Day 9
Jhinu Danda to Nayapul to Pokhara
Trek back to Nayapul, your starting point, which takes approximately six hours to complete. This trek marks the end of your Annapurna Base Camp adventure. Once you reach Nayapul, a private car is waiting to drive you back to Pokhara, wrapping up your trekking experience in the region.
