Bad Ischl
You'll arrive at your 4-star hotel in Bad Ischl and settle in for a 7-night stay. The town opens up for exploration at your own pace, with plenty of walking options throughout the week to keep things flexible.
- Day 2
Bad Ischl
Two walking routes depart from your hotel today. One heads up to Kolowratshohe peak where you can stop for a meal at the mountain restaurant in Hoisenrad. The other path takes you to Jainzenberg's summit, which rises behind Kaiserpark and Kaiservilla. Either way, it's your choice depending on your energy level.

Hallstatt - Bad Ischl
Today brings you to Hallstatt, Austria's oldest village and a UNESCO site. You'll ride a panoramic funicular up the mountain, walk through the historical salt mine, take the ferry across the lake, and hike to Bad Goisern before catching the train back to Bad Ischl.

From Bad Ischl, walk 2km or take the cable car to reach three summits: Katrin, Hainzen, and Elferkogel. Sure-footedness helps here, but the payoff is a full 360-degree view all the way to the snow-capped Dachsteins. Restaurants at the cable car station let you relax and take in the scenery.
