Arrival in Negombo
You'll get picked up from your hotel in Colombo, Mount Lavinia, Negombo, or straight from Bandaranaike International Airport and driven to Negombo for your first night. The drive takes a couple hours depending on where you're starting from, so you'll have time to settle in and get oriented once you arrive.

Muthurajawela Wetland Bird-Watching
After breakfast, you're heading out on a wetland bird-watching tour in Muthurajawela Sanctuary, which is about 45 minutes away. The sanctuary's home to over 100 bird species including migrant birds, plus lots of other wildlife and plants. You'll spend the morning walking through and observing the area before heading back to your hotel to relax in the afternoon and evening.

Negombo Lagoon Fishing Tour with Grilled Seafood Lunch
This is a full-day lagoon fishing adventure in Negombo. After breakfast, you'll hit the fish market to pick out fresh seafood, then get on a boat to explore the mangroves and try traditional fishing methods yourself. Lunch is fresh grilled seafood cooked right there on an island, and after that you'll take a relaxing catamaran ride back through the lagoon before returning to your hotel.

Leisure Day at Negombo Beach
You have the whole day to yourself here. Spend it at the hotel using the facilities, or head down to Negombo beach, which is a nice wide sandy stretch on Sri Lanka's western coast with calm waters. It's a good day to just relax and soak in the tropical scenery without any scheduled activities.

Landmarks Negombo Beach - Day 5
Departure
After breakfast, you'll be driven to the airport for your departure flight, or dropped off in Colombo if that works better for your travel plans. Depending on your flight time, you might have a couple hours before you need to leave the hotel.
