Itinerary
- Day 1
Beijing
You'll arrive in Beijing and head to your hotel to settle in. The rest of the day is yours to use however you'd like - take it easy after traveling or get out and see what's around the neighborhood.
- Day 2
Great Wall
After a 2-hour drive, you'll reach the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Spend the afternoon exploring the wall at your own pace, walking the restored sections and taking in the views.

Beijing to Xi'an
This morning you'll walk through Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City with a local guide who'll explain the history from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Then you'll head to the train station and catch a 5 or 6-hour bullet train to Xi'an, arriving at your hotel by evening.

Xi'an
You'll see the Terra Cotta Warriors early in the day with time to walk through the excavation site and the museum. In the afternoon, you can explore the old city wall and wander around the Muslim Quarter, checking out shops and trying food from local stalls.

Xi'an to Chengdu
A 3-hour bullet train takes you to Chengdu in the morning. Once there, you'll visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO site that's been around for over 2000 years. After that, you'll transfer to your hotel in Chengdu for the night.

Chengdu to Yangshuo
You'll spend the morning at the Giant Panda Research Center in Chengdu watching the pandas. Then it's time to fly to Guilin and drive to Yangshuo, where you'll stay overnight.

Yangshuo
This day gives you two options: either bike around Yangshuo with a local guide heading toward the Yulong River, or hike through the surrounding countryside if that appeals more. Later you'll take a cruise on the Li River to see the landscape from the water.

Yangshuo to Shanghai
Your morning in Yangshuo is free to do whatever interests you. Then you'll head to Guilin Airport for a 2-hour flight to Shanghai, and transfer to your hotel after landing.

Shanghai
With a local guide, you'll get around Shanghai by public transport hitting the Bund, Nanjing East Road, Yu Garden, and Xintiandi. You'll try local food along the way and see how the different neighborhoods blend together.
