- Day 1
Kathmandu
Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you into Kathmandu, where you'll check in at your hotel. The city sits at 1450m elevation and has been a cultural center since medieval times. You'll find seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites within the valley, so there's plenty to explore over the coming days. Spend the rest of the day adjusting to the altitude and getting oriented to your surroundings.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Nagarkot
Head out early from Kathmandu for the 30km drive to Nagarkot, which sits at 2000m. This hilltop village offers the best views in the valley, and you'll have chances to catch the sunset and sunrise with Himalayan peaks visible on clear days. The drive takes a couple hours, so you'll arrive with time to settle in and watch the light change across the mountains.

Nagarkot to Chitwan
Make your way southwest toward Royal Chitwan National Park, about 75 miles from Kathmandu. The park covers 932 square kilometers and protects one of Asia's finest forests. You'll see one-horned rhinos, Royal Bengal tigers, gharial crocodiles, and other wildlife across more than 43 animal species living here. Travel by bus covering 165km, or take a flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur airport if you prefer to save time.

Chitwan to Pokhara
Travel to Pokhara, Nepal's second-largest city, driving through rural countryside on your way. The route shows you villages and agricultural areas you wouldn't see from the main highway. Pokhara sits with views of the Annapurna mountain range, and the city has various attractions nearby for exploring over the next day or two.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
Head back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, and your driver will take you to the airport for your departure. This concludes your Nepal trip, so you'll have time during the drive to reflect on the temples, mountains, and wildlife you experienced over the previous days.
