Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Your driver picks you up from the hotel or airport and heads toward Maasai Mara Game Reserve, stopping for lunch along the route. During the drive, you'll start spotting wildlife across the acacia plains right away—lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and giraffes are all common sights, plus over 450 bird species if you keep your eyes up. Once you reach Lenchada Tourist Camp in the late afternoon, you'll have dinner and settle in for your first night.

Maasai Mara
This is a full day in Maasai Mara doing game drives, with a stop at Mara River to watch crocodiles and hippos. If you're traveling during wildebeest migration season, you'll see massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes crossing the river in their search for fresh grassland. The river crossings draw thousands of animals at once, and it's one of those rare natural events that really lives up to the hype.

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, you'll drive out of Maasai Mara with another game drive happening en-route, then head to Lake Nakuru. Lunch is at Golden Palace Hotel, and then in the evening you'll go out for a game drive around Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake's known for pink flamingos along the shoreline, and you'll also spot rhinos and waterbucks if conditions are right.
