- Day 1
Nairobi
Your representative meets you at Nairobi International Airport for a private transfer to your hotel. Check-in happens from 2:00 pm onward, so you'll have the afternoon to settle in and relax around the hotel grounds and gardens. If you're feeling energetic, the city centre is nearby with All Saints Cathedral and City Hall worth a quick look, though there's no pressure to do anything today. Dinner is on your own, giving you options to either eat at the hotel or venture out into the city.

Nairobi to Maasai Mara
After breakfast, you'll head out early toward Kenya's highlands, descending the Rift Escarpment on a historic road built by Italian prisoners during World War II. Along the way, keep an eye out for a small chapel at the escarpment's base. The route takes you past the Longonot earth satellite station and through fields of wheat and barley before arriving at Mara Serena Safari Lodge by lunchtime. Your first game drive happens in the afternoon, then you'll head back to the lodge as the sun sets for dinner.

- Day 3
Maasai Mara
An early breakfast gets you ready for a morning game drive through Maasai Mara National Reserve. You'll have chances to spot the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and black rhinos) plus antelopes, gazelles, and wildebeests throughout the reserve. Back at the lodge around lunch time, you'll rest and eat before heading out again in the afternoon. This second drive includes a visit to a Maasai village, and you'll return to the lodge at sunset for dinner.

Maasai Mara to Lake Elementaita
Starting after breakfast, you'll travel north through Kenya's agricultural heartland, passing wheat and barley plantations where herds of giraffes and gazelles roam. The route climbs the Mau Escarpment with a picnic lunch stop along the way. In the afternoon, a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park lets you see thousands of flamingos and the park's protected rhino population. You'll reach Lake Elementaita Serena Camp by evening for dinner as the sun drops.

- Day 5
Lake Elementaita to Amboseli
After an early breakfast, you'll leave the Rift Valley and head south toward Nairobi for an early lunch (a picnic option is available depending on road conditions). From there, continue toward Amboseli, arriving at the lodge by late afternoon. The Amboseli Serena Lodge sits with Mount Kilimanjaro as its backdrop, surrounded by acacia trees and gardens. Spend your evening relaxing on the terrace watching wildlife graze across the plains before dinner.

- Day 6
Amboseli
Following a good breakfast, you'll spend both the morning and afternoon on game drives in Amboseli National Park with Mount Kilimanjaro overhead. The park's partially dry lake bed and grasslands are home to rhinos, giraffes, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Lunch happens around noon at the lodge. The swamp areas are particularly good for bird watching if that interests you. Dinner wraps up your day at the lodge.

Amboseli to Nairobi
An early breakfast comes first, giving you time to catch final views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Then you'll head north back toward Nairobi, crossing the broad Athi Plains for several hours. Arrival at the capital or the airport comes around 1:30 pm, where your representative will drop you off and help arrange any ongoing travel you have planned.
