    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten November 2022

Just international driver's permit is good enough to ride motorbikes in Vietnam legally

  • E

    Edward

    Asked on November 24th, 2022

What kind of license do I need to drive the motorbikes?

    Transport
    • DNQ TravelOperatorWritten November 2022

To ride motorbikes legally, you need either appropriate Vietnamese licenses or International Driver's Permits (IDPs). It's nearly impossible for regular tourists to obtain the Vietnamese licenses due to its complicated legal procedures but you can get IDPs much easier and we can help this if you want. And in case, you have no both, you can still ride bikes in Vietnam because our traffic police rarely stop foreigners to check licenses & paperworks yet. And even if they stop, our guide knows how to deal with it

  • C

    Carmen

    Asked on January 3rd, 2022

Would you need to be a regular mother bike driver. I have a licence to drive motor bike but have not driven one. Would I need some lessons. What is the best time to do this trip.

If you have less experiences in riding motorcycles, normally you will be required to have some practices / lessons with our guide to master all necessary riding skills until you can ride perfectly.
