Beirut
You'll arrive at Beirut International Airport and get transferred to your hotel. After settling in, the afternoon and evening are open for you to walk around the capital's neighborhoods, check out local spots, or just rest up before things get going.

Landmarks Beirut - Day 2
Byblos - Batroun
You'll head north to Byblos, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities, and walk through its citadel while checking out the Roman remains scattered throughout. The old souk is worth a wander if you're into local atmosphere and shops. From there, it's a short drive to nearby Batroun where the narrow cobblestone streets and souks give you another sense of how these coastal towns feel. You'll head back to Byblos for the night, so there's time to grab dinner and settle in.

Tripoli - Cedars of Lebanon - Qadisha Valley
Starting north toward Tripoli, you'll see the Crusader Fortress first and then move through the Great Mosque and souqs to get a sense of the city. After that, you're heading into the mountains toward Bcharreh where the landscape shifts completely. The Cedars of Lebanon are next, and a quiet walk through the forest gives you space to take it all in. Later you'll descend into Qadisha Valley, visit the village of Bcharre and check out the Gibran Khalil Museum. You'll stay at a monastery with views out over the valley.

Jeita Grotto - Mtein
The day starts at Jeita Grottos where you'll explore the cave system with its illuminated stalactites and stalagmites. You can walk through the upper chamber, and then later take a rowboat through the lower chamber which feels quite different from being on foot. From there, you'll go to Mtein, one of Lebanon's older villages, where you can walk around the town square and side streets to see how locals live and what the historic architecture looks like.

Baalbek - Chateau Ksara
You're driving to the Bekaa Valley to see Baalbek's Roman ruins, which are among the largest and most significant ancient sites around. The scale of what's there really hits when you're on the ground. After that, Chateau Ksara winery is your next stop where you can tour the Roman cellars that go back over 2km underground, walk around the vineyard, and do a wine tasting. Dinner and overnight are included at a local guesthouse.

Bekaa Valley - Beiteddine Palace - Deir el Qamar
Visit Beiteddine Palace, built starting in 1788 by Emir Bashir Shihab II, to see ornately decorated courtyards, carved ceilings, and royal quarters. Afterward, head to the nearby village of Deir el Qamar, which was once Mount Lebanon's political capital, and take a relaxed walk through cobbled streets lined with red-roofed houses. You'll return to your guesthouse for another home-cooked Lebanese dinner.

Niha - Jezzine - Sidon - Tyr
You'll take a short transfer to Niha and start an easy walk toward Jezzine, passing by Niha Fort where the views are worth stopping for and then reaching Jezzine Waterfall. From there, you're driving south to Sidon where you'll navigate the winding alleyways and check out the old souks, the Crusader Sea Castle, Khan el Franj, and the ancient Eschmoun Temples. Late in the day, you'll head to Tyr for an overnight stay.

Sidon - Tyr - Beirut
Return to Sidon in the morning to see its historical sites more thoroughly, including the Crusader Sea Castle on a small island, the old souks, Khan el Franj, and Eschmoun Temples. Continue south to Tyr where you'll explore the Roman Hippodrome, one of the largest of its kind, plus the Necropolis and Roman colonnades. Then transfer back to Beirut for the night.

Beirut
A local guide will take you through Beirut with an approach based on what you're interested in, whether that's food, lifestyle, art, or the city's political side. You'll visit the Beirut National Museum which has a large collection of ancient artifacts ranging from prehistoric times through the Mameluke period, so you can see layers of history all in one place. The evening is free, so you can explore on your own or just relax in the city.

Beirut
