- Sierra· August 5th, 2025This tour was so far beyond what I imagined it would be. In the weeks since my trip, I have shamelessly recommended it to anyone that I talk to. Simon is the most wonderful guide and has an endless amount of knowledge about the places we visited. He’s a problem solver and met every day and every hiccup with a cool head and determination to get the job done. Traveling on Simon’s tour is nothing less than joyful! I’ve been on lots of tours, but none that compared to this one. From start to finish, the route, the stops, the local guides, the fantastic drivers, the accommodation— it was all thoughtful and enjoyable. I look forward to booking another tour with Travel Talk!Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Sierra, thank you so much for your heartfelt review! - DNDoris Y· June 21st, 2025I’m glad to share my experience here of the All About Balkans provided by Travel Talk. The tour guide Vojin is the best. He’s experienced and knowledgeable. I’ll seek any tours he hosts. Sophia was the tour guide for Greek portion. I lost my passport at the second day of Greece. She helped me to file police report and contacted us embassy in Athens. As well as the driver, he took extra miles to take me to the local police station. I’m just very lucky to have a team to assist me to go through all these things. I’m here home safely as schedule because of Sophia’s assistant. Thank you so much!Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Doris, thank you so much for sharing your experience with the All About Balkans tour! - ADAndreas· April 24th, 2025The two bus drivers did a safe job (which is very important!). The first tour guide from Sofia to Skopje was above average, whereas the tour guide from Skopje to Athens was not overly helpful for the travelers. Most of the within-city tour guides did a satisfying job, although city-tour time was often scarce, so too much information to digest. The hotel rooms from Sofia to Skopje were mostly above average whereas some of the 3-stars hotels in Greece (not the last one in Athens) had some issues. In sum, although some days were quite tiring (especially waiting at the borders), I learned a lot about the Balkans (historically and culinarily) and got to know quite some nice international co-travelers in the bus (mainly from North America and Australia). Between 4 and 5 stars, if you want to see a lot of capitals and important sites in the Balkans in only 12 days.Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Andreas, thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review!
